Glorious Rainy Day

What a glorious rapture to awaken to the forceful pattering and pittering of rain assaulting the windows. Accompanied by a chilling wind that lets you truly know you are alive and have made your mark on this spinning piece of dirt. Lashing at your eyes and face as it whispers forcefully in your ears that is a force not to be dismissed. That it is the lost souls of the ancient gods who walked this land before us.

I don't know what happened in the creation of my cells as an embryo that causes me to abhor sunny, clear days. They absolutely depress me. But the rain....oh the rain charges me like a lightening bolt to the core of my brain. I fully understand that God knows what he is doing and maybe he knew that I would desperately need a fundamental obsession with the rain, cold, and low hanging clouds that embrace us like a shroud.

There is a great misconception that those of us who embrace the darker days and whipping wind are depressed or unhappy and nothing could be further from the truth. I love life. I embrace all good things. It's just, to me, the rain represents hope, rebirth, a beautiful reprieve from conformity. Thanks for listening to me ramble about my rainy morning. I hope it is raining where you are and that you have a wonderful day!
