RE: SteemPress October update: HF20 compatibility, new post queue manager, content discovery dashboard, progress on two-way integration and attending SteemFest 3.

I love @steempress ... it's a wonderfully functional piece of software that just works.

Two questions...

  1. What counts as spam? Personally I try to limit my steempress posts to 2 a week so as not to take the piss.

  2. Will the updates on wp change the steem post even after the 7 day lock in?

Chhers for all the dev work!

Sort:
  1. Only the extreme cases where some users make a new post every 5 mimutes 24/7. I would say more than 50 per day = spam.
  2. It should afyer the update made to Steem not to long ago that allowed for edits past 7 days.

Thanks for the reply...

50 per day? Is there an accidental extra 0 in there!?

Sadly, no, opening steem to wordpress also means we open steem to all the automated plugins for posting on wordpress. We had cases of aggregation blogs that basically took articles from 50 different sources and aggregated everything under the same blog, and with steempress, on steem. They used to post about 200 articles a day.

Crikey... that's a whole nother level.

I still think >4 posts a day is taking the piss.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned?!

Some websites publish content made by more than one author to one Steem account for their website or magazine. I think this is fine. The problem is when there's a new post pushed every 5 minutes which is usually just spam or copied plagiarism. We see less of that after the introduction of resource credits though.

Glad to hear HF20s working like it's supposed to in that respect!
