Coins v.s. bars

When stacking silver or gold you can purchase coins or bars. Since generally speaking, coins are more expensive than bars. So bars would be a better choice if your looking to go after quantity. You will get more for your money if you purchase bars. Coins, not including generic rounds, tend to have more of a premium than bars.

The question is, which one is better? I think coins will be easier to trade when it comes to making purchases and trading because it is smaller. Bars that weigh more than an ounce are much larger and should be used to make larger purchases or to sell for more. Bars are a bit harder to trade since they are bigger.

Bars are typically cheaper because they are easier to produce. You get much less of a premium when you purchase bars, and you get more silver/gold for the money. Most bars don't really have much of a design on them as well, so that could be a factor for why it is cheaper than buying coins. Like I said before, they are much easier to produce compared to coins.

If your goal is to stack as many ounces as you can for the money, I would say go for bars. If you like designs of coins and don't mind paying a bit of a premium, and you want something that's smaller, I would say go with coins. At the end of the day it is all silver or gold. It is all valuable, just because bars are cheaper than coins doesn't mean that it doesn't have the same purchasing power per ounce. An ounce is an ounce at the end of the day.

I personally prefer coins even though it costs more than bars because of the design and the fact that it is smaller and easier to trade. But to each his own, right? Whatever suits you. They are all good to have in my honest opinion.

Anyways thanks for reading my post about coins versus bars, I hope you give me some feedback on what you think is better. Thanks for reading and steem on!

We won't be bringing Silver and Gold Coins or Bars to the Store to buy food. Try pulling up to a Drive Thru Window at Starbucks, with a Silver or Gold Coin or Bar and see what happens.. By the way... What do you think we will be using to "Make Change" if all we have are Silver and Gold Coins or Bars...???
