Bitcoin (or some other crypto) is critical for both inflation protecting for the dollar and for wealth preservation from the socialists/fascists/communists etc. It is portable so you can leave with it unlike gold. Gold and silver are also important protections.
I was amazed when I learned Customs rule about bringing gold in or out of the country. Even just paper notes
