2025: Stacking more silver....
SOURCE
As the curtain closes on a somewhat successful 2024, I’ve been reflecting on the progress of my precious metals stack and setting my sights on what I aim to achieve in 2025. Truth be told, I couldn’t say how many ounces I started the year with, nor do I recall setting a firm goal back then. But one thing is clear: when silver was affordable, I bought it.
This past year, I managed to add roughly 100oz of silver, a few gold Sovereigns, and a handful of Goldbacks to my collection. While I didn’t track my purchases meticulously, I’m proud of the progress I made, particularly in the face of rising premiums and market volatility. Every ounce, every piece, felt like another step towards long-term security and peace of mind.
For 2025, my goal is straightforward: triple figures once again. But this time, I want to approach my stacking journey with more intention, blending a mix of weight accumulation and strategic buys. Silver remains the cornerstone of my stack. I plan to keep buying for weight, seizing opportunities when prices dip and employing dollar-cost averaging to smooth out the peaks and troughs of the market. Bulk purchases of generic rounds or bars might make up a significant portion of my additions, as they often provide the best value.
Gold Sovereigns will continue to be a focus. Their historical significance, liquidity, and fractional size make them ideal for my stacking strategy. I’ll also be keeping an eye on opportunities to add unique gold coins or fractional pieces when they align with my budget. While weight is important, I can’t resist the allure of standout pieces. I’ve got my eye on a few items—whether they’re limited-edition releases, vintage bars, or something entirely unexpected. These pieces not only diversify my stack but also make it more personal and meaningful.
For me, stacking isn’t just about ounces and grams; it’s about financial security, legacy, and the joy of collecting. Whether it’s a shiny new coin or a well-loved vintage bar, each addition represents a small victory. As we enter 2025, I’m excited to see what the year holds for the precious metals market and for my stack. With a clear target in mind and a flexible approach, I’m ready to seize opportunities and add more sparkle to my collection.
What are your stacking goals for 2025? Are you chasing weight, focusing on gold, or hunting for those special treasures? Let’s make 2025 a year to remember in the world of precious metals! You never know, i may even get to bump into a few of you should the #silvergoldstackers crew arrange their annual get together...
