As we approach the culmination of this year’s #SecretSanta initiative, it’s heartening to see how smoothly things are running overall. For our sixth successful year, the sense of community and camaraderie among the #silvergoldstackers is as strong as ever. Despite a few logistical hiccups beyond anyone's control, we’re proving once again that this group can overcome anything with a bit of patience and holiday cheer.

From a personal perspective, my role as the facilitator has been surprisingly straightforward this year. The direct messages I’ve received have been minimal, and most have been about minor concerns—easily resolved with a reassuring word or a bit of guidance. Considering the challenges we’ve faced, like the looming Canadian postal strike, unpredictable weather sweeping across Europe, and the usual holiday rush, I anticipated more complications. But credit where credit’s due—the amazing members of our community have handled it all with their trademark positivity and resilience.

It’s been wonderful to see so many of you already receiving your mystery packages. Social feeds are lighting up with posts showcasing beautifully wrapped surprises that have made it under your Christmas trees. For those still waiting, there’s no need to fret. The delays we’ve seen this year are entirely due to external factors, not the fault of any of our incredible participants. Remember, the magic of #SecretSanta isn’t in the speed of delivery but in the joy it brings when those packages finally arrive.

If you’re anxiously checking your recipient’s posts, wondering if they’ve received your gift yet—don’t worry. Experience tells us that everything will make it to where it needs to go in due time.
