'Twas the night before vhristmas - Precious metals edition
SOURCE
Yes.... im well aware i did NOT write the original poem I have used in this blog. I acknowledge that the poem A Visit from St. Nicholas AKA "t'was the night before Christmas", was in fact penned by Clement Clarke Moore... But i love this poem, reciting it every year to my kids.
So, knowing how important it is to me, i hope the guys and gals of the #silvergoldstackers community now know how much they mean. It took me an absolute age to try and fit a few of you in to this poem. Sorry i coildnt get more of you in, but i hope you all enjoy it nonetheless.
Not a coin was out shining, nor a bar out of whack.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Silver soon would be there.
The stackers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Goldbacks danced in their heads.
And @kerrislravenhill with her glimmering haul,
Had just settled down after counting it all.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
@silvertop sprang up to see what was the matter.
Away to the window flew @summertooth fast,
While @dfinney shouted, “This silver won’t last!”
The moon on the bars of freshly poured white,
Gave the luster of midday to objects so bright.
When what to our wondering eyes should appear,
But @elizabethbit, with her stackers’ cheer!
With a gleam in his eye, so lively and quick,
It must be St. Silver with his bullion pick!
More rapid than spot price his coursers they came,
And he whistled and shouted, and called them by name:
“Now @silversaver888, now @bitcoinman!
On @trumpman, and @bulliontools’ plan!
To the top of the shelves, to the top of the wall,
Stack away! Stack away! Stack it all!”
As ounces that sparkle when market winds fly,
When met with good fortune, mount to the sky.
So up to the stacker’s den they flew,
With bags full of silver, and St. @silvertop too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,
The jingling and jangling of each precious proof.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
Down the chimney @fat-elvis came with a bound.
He was dressed all in gold, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of coins he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a stacker just opening his pack.
His eyes—how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like platinum, his nose like a cherry!
With @saffisara’s help, he arranged all the gifts,
Each coin wrapped with care for those precious lifts.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
Filling stacks with treasures, then turned with a smirk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
With a wink to @thisismylife, up the chimney he rose.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the flight of a missile.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
“Happy stacking to all, and to all a good night!
