General blackout in Venezuela

in #steemsos11 months ago

In many Venezuelan cities, electricity rationing has remained an everyday occurrence. Approximately 4 years ago our country experienced the darkest in its history, it literally went out for more than 70 hours with the extreme drought causing the shutdown of the electrical generators of the Simón Bolívar hydroelectric plant located in the state of Bolívar, the unthinkable happened.

I remember in these moments the Enlightened Hermes and the prophet, during the first years of the 21st century they had their own television programs from where they attracted a large audience with their daily predictions, they accumulated a good fortune with the sale of advertising space.

Where were their predictions, because they never talked about the great blackout that many Venezuelans experienced? We can think that their predictions were based on confidential data that some people offered them in exchange for money.

After the season of the great national blackout, scheduled blackouts were carried out by geographical areas. At that time, we Venezuelans adjusted our sleep, eating and work schedules to those schedules. I remember that many offices kept the air conditioners off, others like me slept. during the day and worked at night from home.

During the last months of this year 2023, blackouts without programming, without warning and without protest increased in many cities, so in the last week of December in the northern area of the Anzoátegui state we went through up to three daily blackouts, on one occasion We lived in the dark for 7 continuous hours.

What I hope is that Christmas 2024 will be different, that the Venezuelan people will celebrate with national joy the great national unity that our country needs to get out of this darkness that began with the attempted coups against Carlos Andrés Pérez and the establishment of a pseudo revolution and then the emergence of the boliburgueses with the arrival of the current president Nicolás Maduro.
