This is one of the best NLDS series in recent memories. The Dodgers and Cubs both have fantastic pitching and well balanced teams. Game 5 should prove to be entertaining for any baseball fan. You can read my article on money management in wagering here.

Thursday Oct 20th on TBS at 8:00 PM EST

Los Angeles Dodgers

Dodgers Logo - MLB

With the Dodgers leading 1 game going into Game 4. We know we can expect more solid pitching and big numbers on the board from this Dodgers team. Their record during the year doesn’t reflect how talented this injury plagued squad that was fielded.

The Dodgers had a 2016 record of 91-71, The Dodgers beat the Nationals to advance to the NLCS.

The Cubs have been having a hard time hitting (why not the Dodgers pitchers are so good). If this trend changes however, and the Cubs bats get hot – the series could get a little more interesting. At this time – it is still the Dodgers to lose. Pitchers for Game 5 have not been announced (We do know Kershaw wont pitch until Game 6)

So Far This Season

The Los Angeles Dodgers are an American professional baseball team based in Los Angeles, California. The Dodgers compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) West division. Established in 1883 in Brooklyn, New York,[1][2] the team moved to Los Angeles before the 1958 season.[3] They played for four seasons at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before moving to their current home of Dodger Stadium in 1962.

The Dodgers as a franchise have won six World Series titles and 21 National League pennants. 11 NL MVP award winners have played for the Dodgers, winning a total of 13 MVP Awards, Eight Cy Young Award winners have pitched for the Dodgers, winning a total of twelve Cy Young Awards. The team has also produced 16 Rookie of the Year Award winners, including four consecutive from 1979 to 1982 and five consecutive from 1992 to 1996.

Chicago Cubs

Chicago Cubs Logo - MLB

The Dodgers were winning the series 2-1 going into Game 4 (results not available at this time). Game 3 should have been a gimme for the Cubs; they had their ace Arietta on the mound. The Dodgers bats prevailed, and they won 6-0. The momentum could shift if the Cubs win game 5.
Their 2015-2016 record was 103-85. They finished first in the Central division - the national league - and all of baseball.

Chicago has to start swinging their bats - this is officially the Dodgers series to lose. Pitchers have not been announced at this time.

NL Central Standings - MLB

So Far This Season:

One thing we do know – Chicago has to start swinging their bats - this is officially the Dodgers series to lose. Pitchers have not been announced at this time.

The Chicago Cubs are an American professional baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. The Cubs compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) Central Division. The team plays its home games at Wrigley Field, located on the city's North Side. The Cubs are one of two Major League teams in Chicago; the other, the Chicago White Sox, are members of the American League (AL) Central division.

The team, first known as the White Stockings, was a founding member of the NL in 1876, becoming the Chicago Cubs in 1903.[1]

In 1906, the Cubs won a Major League record 116 games, finishing 116–36 and posted a modern-era record winning percentage of .763, before losing the World Series to the Chicago White Sox by four games to two. The Cubs won back-to-back World Series championships in 1907 and 1908, becoming the first Major League team to play in three consecutive World Series, and the first to win it twice. The team has appeared in a total of ten World Series, most recently in 1945. The Cubs have not won the World Series in 108 years, and they have not won the National League pennant in 71 years, both of which are record "droughts" in Major League Baseball.[2][3] Since the start of divisional play in 1969, the Cubs have appeared in the postseason eight times. This included five trips to the League Championship Series—in 1984, 1989, 2003, 2015, and 2016.

The Cubs are known as "the North Siders", a reference to the location of Wrigley Field within the city of Chicago, and in contrast to the White Sox, whose home of U.S. Cellular Field is on the South Side. The Cubs have a divisional rivalry with the St. Louis Cardinals, and an interleague rivalry with the Chicago White Sox.Source

How to Play

  • Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).

  • Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).

  • After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.

The Stake Pool:

  • The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.

  • 30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.

  • 70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.

  • Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.

  • Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.

  • Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

  • @steemsports is not a traditional betting platform and no fiat currency is used as rewards or in casting bets; as such does not fall under any gaming and gambling jurisdictions; but even so, users are urged to first consult with the laws and age restrictions of their countries.

  • @steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.

  • Please vote responsibly :).

I have to admit, as much as I enjoy the opportunity to place a "voting" bet on these contests, I am growing increasingly concerned with the LACK of proper payouts across the entire system. I submit a "vote" bet on damn near every single one of these contests, and I track my choices and dates of contests on an Excel spreadsheet. I then record the outcomes of the contests and annotate a win or loss accordingly, taking into account the spread if necessary, and yet several of the contests I entered a correct vote for, remain unfulfilled. If there is still a problem with the script, then perhaps contests should be suspended until the problem is fixed. I enter contests held by others and never seem to have this problem. It's starting to make me wonder if someone on the inside isn't taking advantage of this "script" problem to pad their account(s). When is this going to get fixed?

A post in their sub may be the only way to get your questions answered.

Good advice...THANK-YOU!
