Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins have been a solid all around team for quite a few years now. After winning the cup in 2011, they have yet to climb back to take the championship again. Could this be their year?

Their 2015-2016 record was 42-31-9, with 93 points. They finished 4th in the Atlantic Division.

The Boston Bruins have a decent few forward lines as well as Z.Chara leading their defense. Their top players are P.Bergeron (with 68 points last year), D.Krejci (with 63 points last year), and B.Marchand (with 61 points last year).

So Far This Season

The Boston Bruins dominated their first game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, a win here was to be expected. Columbus may have scored the first two goals, but it was Boston who came away with the 6-3 victory. They scored in the second and third periods even numbers in each period with a total of 37 shots and 8 minutes in penalties. Boston now sits 1st in their Atlantic Division.

The Boston Bruins are a professional ice hockey team based in Boston. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team has been in existence since 1924, and is the league's third-oldest team and is the oldest in the United States. It is also an Original Six franchise, along with the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs. The Bruins have won six Stanley Cup championships, tied for fourth most of all-time with the Blackhawks and tied second-most of any American NHL team also with the Blackhawks (behind the Red Wings, who have 11). Their home arena is the TD Garden, where they have played since 1995. The Bruins began to play in the NHL on December 1, 1924. The first facility to host them was what was then known as the Boston Arena (today's Matthews Arena) — the world's oldest (built 1909–10) indoor ice hockey facility still in use for the sport at any level of competition[2][3] — and following the Bruins' departure from the Boston Arena, the team played its home games at the Boston Garden for 67 seasons, beginning in 1928 and concluding in 1995.

Winnipeg Jets

winnipegb204b.jpg

The Winnipeg Jets left the scene there for a little bit, moving the team down south, but as of late they have gotten their team back and are ready to make a playoff run in 2017. They didn't fair to well last year, and although they lost the majority of their games by only 1 point, a loss is still a loss dropping them down to the last place in their division. With the teams in their division, it may be a hard climb for them to grab hold of a playoff spot this year.

Their 2015-2016 record was 35-39-8 with 78 points. They finished 7th in the Central Division.

The Winnipeg Jets have shown that even being a brand new team in the league for the second time, they're still a potential contender. Coming to the table with the leaders being, B.Wheeler (with 78 points last year), M. Scheifele (with 61 points last year), and D.Byfuglien (with 53 points last year).

So Far This Season:

The Jets started this season off well so far, coming in with their first win of the season against The Carolina Hurricanes at a score of 5-4. They looked a little iffy in the first and second periods but came back to dominate in the third period scoring 3 goals to tie it up, and then finishing the game off in overtime. Winnipeg had 26 shots on goal and 10 minutes in penalties, and sits 4th in their Central Division.

The Winnipeg Jets are a professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team is owned by True North Sports & Entertainment and plays its home games at the MTS Centre.
The Jets began play as the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999–2000 NHL season. True North Sports & Entertainment then bought the team in May 2011 and relocated the franchise from Atlanta, Georgia to Winnipeg prior to the 2011–12 season (the first NHL franchise to relocate since the Hartford Whalers became the Carolina Hurricanes in 1997).[4][5][6] The team was renamed the Jets after Winnipeg's original WHA/NHL team, which relocated after the 1995–96 season to become what is now known as the Arizona Coyotes.

How to Play

  • Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).

  • Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).

  • After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.

The Stake Pool:

  • The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.

  • 30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.

  • 70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.

  • Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.

  • Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.

  • Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

  • @steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.

  • Please vote responsibly :).

Bruin's should win this, so long as they don't choke. Lulz. Of course getting Bergeron back in the lineup would be a game changer. He is the Bruins best player and he has missed all the games so far this season.

Boston :)

Winnipeg Jets
