The main event between Rafael Dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson is bound to be a blood bath... These two fighters are on a mission to destroy each other. Be prepared for agressive chaos!
UFC Fight Night Mexico
Rafael Dos Anjos vs Tony Feruson
Rafael Dos Anjos
Rafael Dos Anjos is a long time UFC veteran and former lightweight champion of the world.... The King's MMA fighter is one of the most efficient and dominant fighter's in the lightweight division... Nobody has run through contenders like 'RDA', his string of finishes had him on the high road to being an all time great. He was the first fighter to finish long-time former champ, Benson Henderson with strikes, as well as being one of the only two men to finish the super durable and welterweight contender, Donald Cerrone. Dos Anjos is a nightmare on the feet and the ground, his jiu-jitsu has been at black belt level for over a decade, and he is one of Rafael Cordeiro's best students....earning a black belt in Muay Thai under him. He is very accurate and powerful with his leg kicks, and his straight punches are immense as he broke Anthony Pettis' orbital socket with the first solid cross landed. Rafael has a solid wrestling game to accompany his classical jiu-jitsu style; he made a very savvy black belt in Nate Diaz look somewhat helpless at moments... Dos Anjos is calculated and always believes in position over submission on the floor, on the feet he fights somewhat contrarian as he relies on savage pressure and his solid chin. Regardless of the outcome or prior losses, RDA is a true madman in the octagon and still one of the best fighters at 155.
Tony "El Cucuy" Ferguson
Tony 'El Cucuy' Ferguson is a man who's name suits him: The Boogeyman in Spanish. Tony is a true enigma and fear in the cage; he is a reckless fighter; but he is not foolish. He uses instinct and improvisation to catch his opponents off guard and he is the master of the spinning elbow and spinning kick to the body. He uses unorthodox strikes that follow no martial art but his own. He has shown a knack for upkicks as he always fires them from the ground at distance. He ended Justin Edwards night in the TUF house early with one, as well as earning a point deduction for a savage and fight changing upkick on Edson Barboza. Tony is the master of fluid striking and grappling, as his last four submissions have been set up by knockdowns which show his versatility in the cage. Tony is constantly moving but stays heavy on his feet, he hits hard and is always in the pocket. He will stare each opponent down the way and chase them as if they are all weaker and smaller than him. Tony's reach is a huge factor in all his fights, once he wears guys out with his inhuman cardio, his finds his range and unloads on the opponent. Tony has one glaring weakness, and that is takedown defense, but his ballistic rolls reminiscent of Imanari on overdrive allow him to put all wrestlers in danger of losing a limb. The Boogeyman has taken a long and hard road since his Ultimate Fighter days, and he has a chance to prove himself huge here in Mexico against a truly awesome opponent!
The Matchup
Both men have weaknesses, but some play to the other's suit a bit more than the other. The goal is to outlast the other as both men can take abnormal amounts of punishment... Both men do not take the suit of one punch KO power, but they are aggressive, and both stay active constantly. This fight will be given to the man who takes the center of the cage and isn't afraid to initiate the exchanges, both men will pressure, and it may come down to whom moves their head better in the pocket at range. Neither men has good head movement, every fight they each get tagged and ride a bit too much on their chins. The past few fights for both RDA and Ferg have been absolute wars where each man had to push to survive, Tony came out alive whereas RDA did not. In terms of level of competition, RDA has shown the much more decorated resume. He has dominated former number one contenders as well as champions, and he has been fighting elite levels of competition for nearly a decade. Tony's unorthodox nature could cause problems for Rafael if caught, the one glaring hole in RDA's game may be his ability to take a shot. The decline of a top contender may make way for a future champ, Tony must be wise not to get caught himself or that all goes away. Both men are hittable, both men are powerful, this may come down to who can and can't stop the takedown. This is a close fight on paper; but the styles of both men beckon a finish.

How to Play
Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).
Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).
After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.
The Stake Pool:
The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.
30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.
70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.
Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.
Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.
Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

@steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.
Please vote responsibly :).
