Germany are winners once again. They have been rewarded with the number one ranking in the world. They return to top spot for the first time in two years, pushing Brazil into second.
Joachim Low guided his side to confederations Cup glory in Russia at the start of the month. As well as Brazil, Germany also jumped over Argentina, who drop into third position. Confederations Cup runners-up, Chile, are in seventh.
Elsewhere, Poland have recorded their highest-ever ranking with a host of strong results, jumping four places to sixth. Sweden were also among the biggest movers, climbing 16 places to 18th.
England remain in 13th position, directly below Italy, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal are now up to fourth. 2010 World Cup winners, Spain, moved 1 position down and are now out of the top 10.
Andorra were the month’s biggest movers. They moved up 57 places to 129th. Namibia also moved, but in the wrong direction as they dropped down 62 ranks.
In Africa, Egypt went down 4 places to 24th position, but they are still the top in Africa. Congo DR climbed 11 places, and are now 3rd in Africa and 28th overall.
This month’s ranking proves that plenty of sides are looking in fine shape ahead of the World Cup next summer – including a star studded France and a rejuvenated Brazil, but Germany are still the clear favorites.
The US has a ways to go damn...

Nigeria still has a long way to go, ranking no 39
As a Nigerian myself, we should be number 1 in Africa
Our football has regressed over the years, we need a drastic change if our football administration
Spain and Italy have slipped down. England not contenders of top 10 imho. Germany is a giant!
The qualification is yes
Well, should know that the ranking does not measure the 'power' of the teams :)
