Banana leaves in packaging groceries; another step in combatting plastics
It's an all hands-on-deck situation as individuals, companies and industries are striving and creating concepts and models that can help reduce the usage of plastics and its release into the environment. Some of which are included in my previous posts, namely:

And now, in Thailand, food items especially cooking ingredients, vegetables and fruits are seen packaged in banana leaves. Even meat products were not left out. This eco-friendly packaging was an initiative from Rimping supermarket in Chiangmai, Thailand.
Big supermarkets in Vietnam have also adopted this wonderful method of packaging. Vietnam ranks number four in the world for the most amount of plastic waste dumped into the ocean, therefore such intiative is of utmost importance.
