Sexual Perversions: "a freakish desire for sexual satisfaction" Part:-1

Today I will be discussing on a special topic in health series where we will learn about some unusual but prevalent sexual practices among humans.
"We are all born sexual creatures,thank God, but it's a pity so many people despise and crush this natural gift".
From time immemorial humans have practised a variety of sexual acts to get sexual gratifications.Most of the time they found it really fruitful as it helps them attain full contentment.
Sexual perversions
"Persistently indulging in sexual acts or fantasies in which sexual gratification is sought and obtained without sexual intercourse". Perversions are any acts which are socially restricted or prohibited and biologically unacceptable or undesirable.
There are several groups of such acts but today I will be discussing only a few of them.Let us begin with these perversion practices.
Sadism
It has an interesting historical background.
Marquis de Sade (Louis Donatien Francois Alphonse de Sade [1740–1814]), a French count, writer, and philosopher, who took part in a violent sexual play with the prostitutes, men and women, was sentenced to prison time and again for his ominous acts.While he was in the prison, he used to write different plays and novels on practice of cruel sexual behaviour.The word sadism is dedicated to his name for his misdeeds.
Sadism is sexual gratification by inflicting physical pain/cruelty on a partner.It is mostly practiced by males.It involves Beating/Biting/Whipping/Smothering/Burning by cigarette butts/Mutilating/ill-treat or torture...etc

Sadists are mentally aberrated persons who perform these acts as a desire for revenge, jealousy due to the influence of some adverse experience of childhood of being tortured or humiliated.
There are some extreme cases of sadism such as Lust murder (murder serves as a stimulus for sexual act and becomes the equivalent of coitus),Necrophilia(desire for sexual intercourse with dead bodies)&Necrophagia(person after mutilating the body sucks or licks the wounds, drinks the blood and eats the flesh of the victim to attain sexual pleasure).

Masochism
Leopold von Sacher-masoch, an Austrian novelist liked to be whipped by his wife as a stimulus to write his novels and plays.So the name Masochism is given after his name.
It is the opposite of sadism.Masochists get pleasure from being tortured, abused, beaten, humiliated by their sexual partner and they place themselves repeatedly in such self-defeating situations.This is mostly practiced by males by their sexual partners.

This is a type of mental aberration and reflects the childhood experiences of cruelty and adversity.
Sadism and Masochism are also called ALGOLAGNIA
Fetichism
Fetish is derived from French fetiche, and was described by Alfred Binet( a French psychologist). Fetish means an abnormal stimulus or object of sexual desire..Fetishism means the use of such objects for sexual gratification.It is mostly practised by males..Here the perverts(one who performs the abnormal sexual behaviour) gets sexual gratification by seeing or touching female body parts, dresses, their undergarments or some articles of feminine use.

It is harmless, but rarely it may drive the person to obtain his fetish object through violence, rape or assaults.
There are some other conditions, unlike fetichism in which sexual gratification is obtained by using clothes of opposite sex.
Transvestism(sexual gratification by wearing the attire of opposite sex), usually found in males who obtain sexual pleasure by wearing female dresses.

Cisvestism, wearing dresses of own gender but inappropriate to age/position/status to obtain sexual gratification.

The exact causes of sexual perversions( Paraphilia) are still unclear.A case study on sexual fantasies over heterosexual men revealed that
"males with a pronounced degree of fetish interest had a greater number of older brothers with high 2D:4D digit ratio(ratio of index finger over ring finger taken from the midpoint of the bottom crease.If ratio is <1, indicate high exposure to testosterone in the uterus) indicating excessive prenatal estrogen exposure.This cause lateralization of brain hemisphere resulting in deviation of attractions"

(comparing the digit ratio)Behavioural explanation for Paraphilia proposed that,some conditioned reflexes( an automatic reflex established by training to an ordinarily neutral stimulus) which are experienced in early life, pairs with intense sexual arousal.So any minor stimulus of sexual acts increase crave in the susceptible individual for sexual perversions.
These are some widely prevalent sexual perversions in the society.I have already discussed some of them today.The remaining things will be discussed on my next blog.Hope all of you are now aware of these offensive activities.
