Power generation from permanent magnet - synchronous generator

in #steemstem7 years ago

Good day steemians, it's my greatest delight to write again, will be writing on synchronous generator. I'd hope you enjoy reading through.
Imagine a motor which is driven by magnets only. No electricity, it just produces torque. The magnetic power is self sustaining as it does not require any fuel or other source of energy to operate. The magnetic motor can be used to drive a generator.

A brief history of Magnetic power generator

Back in 1900, Thomas Edison became renowned for Alternating current electricity. Nicola Tesla a former employee of Thomas was confronted by investors and asked to develop a new alternative source of electricity.
Through hard earned research, Nicola Tesla came up with an energy generator which he called Tesla energy generator. This was way much different from what the investors expected. They valued his magnetic generator as they knew it will be an alternative source of house hold power generation when it becomes popular.

Principle of magnetic power generator

The magnetic power generator does not obey any of the two laws of thermodynamics. Carrying out a basic experiment with you holding two magnet facing the polar opposite direction. When trying to push the two magnets together, youbtend to feel a force which repels both magnet. This is the basic principle behind magnetic power generator as it is this force that is required to produce electricity. This force creates a perpetual motion which produces energy. The power source for magnetic generator is the freely available earth electromagnetic field.

Advantage of Magnetic power generator

  • Works in all weather conditions unlike wind and solar which rely on natural phenomena.
  • It is safe to use and operate in houses.
  • Maintenance cost is small compared to other power sources.
  • It is easy to build.

How to build a magnetic power generator

The Materials needed are;

  • a reasonably sized cardboard sheet.
  • 15 centimeters long nail or 6 inches.
  • A reasonable length of insulation tape.
  • a bulb in a bulb holder
  • 9 meters length of insulated copper wire.
    Note

All these parts can be easily found in any local store that commercializes electric supplies.

Steps in construction of the magnetic generator

  • cut two circles from the cardboard with same diameter about 2 inches in diameter.
  • A hole should be made on the center of each circles.
  • The nail should be put through the hole of one of the cardboard. The cardboard should be pushed up to the head of the nail.
  • Cover about 2 inch of the nail with a single layer of the insulation tape.
  • The second cardboard circle should be pushed into the nail, up to the end of the insulation tape. The circle should be fixed in place with more insulation tape.
  • the copper wire should be wind in between the two cardboard circles, over the insulation tape. Leave about 8 inches loose before you start winding the wire.
  • The spool of wire should be taped into position so it doesn't come undone.
  • The insulation of one end of the wire should be stripped and attached to the bulb holder connection.
  • The magnet should be placed 1/4 inch from the head of the nail and moved from side to side. The bulb will light up.

Conclusion

In coming days, this will demonstrate an incredible help to the world, since it will spare a great deal of power plant get wasted in illuminating light. Conventional source of power is gradually depleting and new and alternative power is needed.
