Indonesia is one of the very strict countries in filtering films that may running in theaters. Not only outside movies, local films have become a 'victim' so that the film should not be aired in Indonesian cinemas.

The film 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is one of the banned films in Indonesia, because in the film there are many sexual scenes that are very vulgar and seem so sadistic.

The film directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson is adapted from a novel of the same title by E.L James. When announced, if this novel will be made a movie, many have been curious as to what would happen.

And now, there are some countries that also prohibit this movie from showing in cinemas other than Indonesia, one of them is our neighbor country Malaysia with the same reason that is too vulgar and many sexual scenes that seem sadistic.

But, the film directed by James Cameron is not allowed to air in Indonesia. Therefore, the terrorist character in the film is portrayed as an Arab, who is feared will appear prejudice that terrorism acts are synonymous with Arabs and Muslims.

5 . The Year of Living Dangerously (1982)

The film titled 'The Year of Living Dangerously' was adapted from a novel with the same title by C.J. Koch. The film directed by Peter Weir raised the issue of Indonesian politics in 1965 (prior to the G30 / S).
