This theory is really fascinating and it will add a whole new "last frontier" of knowledge to us.
I mentioned this because I believe our last frontier is the universe, to understand everything that can be understood about it, but if the simulation theory turns out to be the real one, then we wouldn't be able to really know what is our last frontier, because what can be the guarantee that the reality above us is the original and not another simulation?
The problem with the simulation theory is that you do not get a final answer with it. Because then there would have to be a species that does not come from a simulation. And what their story of origin is unfortunately remains unclear. But this can also be transferred to God if one believes in a world created by God: Who created "God" or what does he consist of? A topic we will probably never be able to answer, but thanks for your comment :)
