Very interesting that they had specialists perform morphological studies. I'm surprised they didn't do a DNA analysis, but I'm not current enough on insect genomes to know how reliable that is.
It would be interesting to read a little bit more about they method they used to estimate the total # of species in the population based on their sample, since those methods can vary a bit.
