RE: Sex Differences: Does the Chromosome Maketh the Man?

in #steemstem6 years ago

Very interesting read. While some of it would require a second pass to fully grasp the at times complex info. Having said that... I'm looking forward to the next part in the series. And thus am forced to follow you. Kindly feel free to read below for some questions and comments!

I consider myself something of an expert when it comes to guessing people's sex. And by sex I mean genitals. True, my evidence is merely anecdotal, as in most cases I haven't been able to verify my prediction of the sex of a human by examining their genitals.

what a shame...

do pronouns refer to sex or gender?

what's the difference here again? biological vs psychological? which is which?

Note that this is a hypothesis, distinct from the finding (the finding being that the propensity to father males or females is inherited).

Could this trait also be inherited from the father of the mother...?
(If you touched on this in your post somewhere forgive me for not catching it...)

I think there can at most be two sexes in the case of humans. But there can be, in principle, infinite genders!

That's a good question. I'll have to re-read the study myself but I'm in lack of time now. My recollection was that it was impossible to predict anything as far as women were concerned, whatever that means in relation to your question.
