TECHNOLOGY EXPLAINED:
U have stored data in hard drives pendrives mobile memory card,etc,but have u ever thought that data can be stored in ur T-shirts,jacket,trouser,jeans,etc anywhere in ur cloth?
This is actually true and this is done by researchers in unversity of washington and here is perfect explanation of stuff?
See the technology is that ur data can be stored in cloth u wear with the help of conducting fibres which are useful in making cloths.Now there is no perfect explanation for how to write data but there is one thing that with the help of magnet we can actually polarize or store 0s and 1s that is positive and negative charge we can introduce in our cloth as it is made of conducting fibres i.e in a way data.In this we actually rub a magnet on our cloth at certain portions and thus data is stored.
Now we have written a data on our cloth and for reading it we will actually use magnetometer that will help us to detect our data that we have rub on our cloth.
Now magnetometer can be in the form of our mobile itself as mobile has magnetometer in it and then with help of specialized app we will be able to read data and we can also read with he help of some sensors when we scan across that sensor we will be to read data of it.
See the thing is the technology is in developing stage as we dont have perfect technuque as how we will write data weather we will rub the magnet on clith or do it in some factory and put in it or anywhere else but the achievement is we install some 0s and 1s in our cloths as in some data in it.
Now advantage is that the cloth if once magnetized then data cant be removed from it weather u wash it,clean with it,iron it,or do anything with it data wont go from it.
Also u dont have to charge it up or kind of things.
In the initial stage of technology we once installed a chip into a cloth but we had to charge it up or give some power to it but now with this conducting fibres we are able to go to next level of this technology.
The application this technology is wide enough u dont have to carry ur master card or key to unlock something ur cloth will directly do it and get u entry in a specified location as we write our password in our cloth itself.
By reading this blog u cant think that we can store a full, full HD movie in our cloth this is not true as we an store only few bits of data on to it.
So I hope u r now aware of this technology in wearable electronics and lets see when we will be able to use this technology in day to day life.
