Choose a family or save money?

As we know that natural phenomena such as natural disasters cannot be prevented and we can only anticipate the worse effects of these natural disasters.
In Sumatra, especially in Aceh, including earthquake-prone areas considering the earth plate map that explains the island of Sumatra, in particular, Aceh is the meeting point of the Australian and Eurasian plates.[source]
The biggest concern is the occurrence of earthquakes again. We already know that if an area has experienced an earthquake, it will re-occur the earthquake in the future, given Aceh ever experienced a devastating earthquake in 2004 and trigger tsunami waves [source], also in 2016 in Aceh re-earthquake, making Aceh vulnerable earthquake for the future.

As I mentioned earlier, you should build a house away from the fault area or the point of the earthquake that ever happened. Because usually, the area close to the fault will suffer more damage.
I will explain some experiences and what steps should you consider when starting to build, hopefully can be your reference to build a simple one-story house using brick (permanent).
FOUNDATION
You must make sure the soil condition well, in order to support the burden of the house you will build, using the simple method you can already determine whether the soil condition is good or bad.
The simple method I mentioned earlier is, using a 12 mm diameter steel bar, the iron you press to ground by hand until you are sure that the iron cannot enter again, if the iron enters to a depth of more than 30 cm then it is sure the soil is not well used when withholding house burden. You should use mounting rock foundation, given the cheaper cost for a simple and more stable house when accepting a load during a seismic shift.
Make sure the mortar fills the entire foundation cavity.
CONCRETE

- Brace/stir should have a hook with a 135- degree angle, hook mounted alternately / rotation.
- Use of good materials is highly recommended, such as gravel and sand.
- You should make a mortar dose with a scale of 1 portland cement: 2 sand: 3, gravel.
- When casting structural elements, you should make sure that no reinforcement is visible and hollow.
- In anticipation of the occurrence of cavities, you should compact the mortar with a hammer or iron by pounding or fumbling with a steel bar.
- Each connection of structural elements must be properly connected, such as column and beam connections.
- If possible, you should use threaded steel bars.
- Never use used steel bars.
BRICK WALL
- Use brick bonds regularly, do not use concrete walls.
- Bricks should be soaked with water before placing, dry brick properties can damage the walls if not soaked.
- When brick installation, should have a distance of 1.5 cm between bricks.
- Bricks should be 3cm apart with columns if too close will cause the structural failure column due to the concrete blanket is disturbed by the brick.
- Make practical above beams and below the openings to avoid cracking due to earthquake forces.
- Make sure each brick is completely loaded with mortar.
WALLS WITH OPENS (WINDOWS, DOORS, AND VENTILATIONS)
- Use a bed joint or practical beams on top of the opening.
- You can also use the practical columns on the side of the openings
WALL WITHOUT OPEN
- Make a bed joint on every 7 layers of brick, you can use iron diameter 6-8 mm.
- Add a practical column if the wall area is more than 12 m2.
ROOF CONNECTION AND RING BEAMS
- You should use the plate "U" with a size of 4 cm wide, 5 mm thick and 30 cm long. The U plate is planted on the top beam with the open side facing upward to tie the roof frame. Roof frames made of wood you can tie using bolts at some point.
In accordance with the reference, you can minimize the impact of the earthquake even if your house is made of brick walls.
The most important thing you should follow is, always use the best construction materials and experts who have experience in working home anti-earthquake/strong.
Aceh is an earthquake-prone area and has experienced a devastating earthquake in 2004 and several earthquakes continue to this day, so it is appropriate that we should be able to anticipate the worst impact of the disaster.
It has become the nature of the earthquake, that if an area has experienced an earthquake then in the future there will also be an earthquake.
Some evidence from experts mentions that the earth has many plates and can move at any time, a movement of plates can suddenly cause an earthquake.
Should you think seriously, is it worth your family to sacrifice just to save your expenses when building a house that you live with the family?
This is the only thing I can write on this occasion, over all the mistakes and lack of unintentional writing as a servant of God, I apologize.
