[DTube] Linear systems - 3 Intersecting Planes - No unique solutions
I'm in the process of uploading all of my Youtube videos to DTube, where they can be recorded on the Steem blockchain.
In this video, we solve a linear system of equations for 3 planes:
5x + 2y + 11z = 45
2x - y + 5z = 15
-3x + 3y + az = b
and determine the values for a and b, such that we have
- No unique solutions in the system (i.e. the planes do not meet at a point)
- A infinite number of solutions (i.e. the planes share a common intersecting line)
- No solutions (i.e. the planes do not share a common intersecting line)
This is question 2 from the AQA MFP4 June 2017 Paper.
Thanks for watching. Please give me a "thumbs up" if you have found this video helpful.
