Researchers from Oxford university have used computer simulations to show that dense active matter such as bacteria can be used to turn cylindrical rotors and provide steady power source.

They saw that the rotors began to spin in anti clockwise direction just like that of wind farm.

Bacteria can actually power smartphones they could form biological power plants that would be engines for devices.
