The current digital architecture is purely mechanical and computers can only mimic the purely mechanical aspects of what we call thinking.

I am going to come down on the side of no, they cannot feel emotions. It is all just a good illusion.

Thanks, I also think they can not process their own thoughts, all of their thoughts or reactions right now are pre-programed.
