THE LANGUAGE OF THE 21ST CENTURY
You are doing your best, but wondering why you are not seeing results commensurate to your input. You strive to maintain the status quo, but amazed at how fast you are losing grounds.

The more you try to impress the world around you is the more they seem not to take noted of who you are, what you do and the sense of your mission!
The funny part of it all is that the more you try to explain, is the more you get confused. * Why* no one seems to be keen about grasping the point you are trying to make?
However, you need to ask yourself whether you are actually speaking in the language that people can understand. Make no mistakes, 21st century is not business as usual. It is very obvious that individuals, organizations and nations are eager to achieve in one century, all the world could not achieve in the 20th centuries. It’s such a world, that your best product today becomes obsolete in the nearest future. So if you are not meeting up with the pace of things, but still want to be significant, you may lose your relevance too.
For every individual, nation or organization who wishes to be significant in this generation, they can’t afford not to speak the language of the now: speed, innovation, information and strategy.
SPEED
Faster jets, flying cars, instant messaging, high speed browsing, all these greatly reflect the necessary adjustments that have been made to satisfy man’s desire to achieve more, within the shortest time possible. Even the process of cash transactions has become very fast with the world going cashless.
A situation where in time past, to pay in cash for someone, you need to first visit a bank, fill a letter and queue up to get a turn, after which some time will also be spent when returning from the bank which could take up to two hours or more of your day. Nowadays, you can short-circuit all of those processes using bank mobile app and achieve the same result in not less than two minutes at your own convenient.

When you see printers who disappoint people after one week period, and yet give all manner of excess, they simply fail to realize that printing technology has so advanced to the point that jobs can be delivered in 24 hours. Interestingly clothes can now be washed, dried and ironed within thirty minutes. Hence any workman who does not understand the language of speed simply not 21st century complaint and will pay dearly for it.
Most interestingly in this jet age is the rate at which young minds break records through early success. Anne imafidon, a Nigerian currently holds the world records as the youngest to pass A-level computing at age 13. The Imafidon twins, Peter and Paula who passed the O-level exams at age six, currently holds the world record as the youngest to ever pass the university of Cambridge’s advanced mathematics exam at age eight.
We equally see the unusual rise in government by the young people across the globe.
INNOVATION
If you keep on doing the same thing in the same way but expecting the different result, that is insincerity. The literate of the 21st century has been defined as someone who has the capacity to learn, unlearn and relearn. Anyone who does not love and embrace change cannot thrive in the 21st century.
According the Le Chatelier’s principle, when a system in equilibrium is exerted on by external forces, the system adjusts in such a way as to annual the effect of the change. By implication, changes come as a resultant effects and failure to adjust when necessary will mean not having it funny.
Today we talk about new models of phones, software’s, cars all in a bid for manufacturers to retain old clients. businesses that are not ready to reinvent will gradually phase out. It is said that great people do the same things in different way, hence your readiness to create better solutions is advised at all times.
INFORMATION
You need to be informed to be in-form. Yesterday’s knowledge may not be relevant for today; hence you need to be both correct and current at all times.
Recently, the federal government of Nigeria disclosed plans to declare a state of emergency in our education sector. That was perceived by many as a welcome development. Since its obvious that we learn currently in our institutions of higher learning have not helped us much, when it comes to competitive edge amongst others. If the knowledge we have in our education cannot indigenously monopolize keke production, let alone car manufacturing; cannot give us phones, clothing and citizens who are more politically aware when it comes to civic rights and responsibilities.

Then it is a clear indication that we need to change diet. Knowledge in some cases may imply taking drugs on board to address your sickness. If a nation hopes to industrialize but trains her graduates to become employees, that indeed is counterproductive.
Some individuals claim that no knowledge is a waste, but it is good to acknowledge that certain knowledge is not only a waste, but has the capacity to waste your life.
if the information you Have does not translate to the transformstion that you desire, you need to change gear.
STRATEGY
Since 21st century is not bsiness as usal, not every motion will translate to movement. Hence it is possible to move about a given position without making progress. Strategy can be defined as a plan or action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim. Since the world has become quite eventful, it is clear that individuals, nations or organization without a blueprint, master plan or grand design will certainly not fully actualize their set-out objectives.
The world is better appreciated when yo consider what it will take to manage the strength of ten men, so that they are able to put twenty men to fight. Imagine also that in 21st century whatever space you occupy today, you tends to have more competitors/contenders like you can ever imagine.
Though some entrepreneurs or world leaders may at some point make statements to sggest that they are not really in competition with anyone, but the fact remains that whether you acknowlwdge it or not, you are certainly in for one. Not withstanding the most important thing about competition is that it is not all about contention, but competence which will lead you to excellence.
Hence, to attain significance in 21st century, one needs a well articulated strategy.
