wow very nice find, even if it was not what you were hoping for. The macro shots are great the detail is amazing, I would never get to see the stinkhorn like this otherwise. I look forward to when you do find the Amanita egg.
I was soooo excited when I tjought it was an Amanita egg - and then sort of doubly upset when I realized I could have grown the stinkhorn in my house! Anyways, lesson learned.
