RE: Indispensable SteemWorld: Appeal for Support of @steemchiller and SPS Proposal #33
About SteemPress you are right in the second point, more information is needed and a blog with hosting service too (there are some free hosting services that work with the WordPress dashboard and they are allowed for the use of the SteemPress plugin). The second point can be solved using only the allowed set of htlm tags in the classic editor in WordPress through its htlm mode, this publish just as you like in steem, you can later edit with more options your published wordpress post. There's also a markdown plugin in WP. All this said, I think you are doing great without plugins!! ;)
More hugs and good vibes, @Roleerob!!
Nice the way you broke out this portion of your response @leveuf, from the other. I like that!
I do have on my "things to do" list to further investigate SteemPress. So, I need to get past my concerns and take a closer look, since it is my understanding WordPress is a big deal when it comes to content creation ...
From a long professional career, I am very particular (some might say too particular ...) about how my posts are constructed. At heart, I am a "substance" guy, but I learned a long time ago, in professional sales, that if your "image" isn't up to a certain standard, others are far less likely to invest their time in learning more about your "substance." I don't know if that will translate well, but hopefully it will make sense ...
P.S. "I think you are doing great without plugins!! ;)" Yes, I have spent a considerable amount of time learning how to get past the limitations of markdown and use HTML code directly, where it is needed. My "magnum opus" work on my two "Introduction to the Steemisphere" posts ran smack up against the limitations even of that. Only after I had already written them ... 😧 😞 👎
P.P.S. Some have called me a "wizard" when it comes to using Microsoft Word. While I reject that title, I have spent years developing my skills with using it to its maximum capabilities. It is from this base and skillset for written communications that I came into our Steem blockchain ...
It translates perfectly and you are absolutely right. Presentation is an opened (or closed) door to the substance of almost everything.
Yes, but I recommend to you to first visit your eSteem (desktop or mobile) app and even to upgrade if needed. I know Trincowski is a great user, maybe he can give you some further advice! However SteemPress have made some big steps lately which could results in growing, is also worth to take a look!!
Of course I'll visit soon your work about the Steemisphere!! I'm sure you are a true "Wizard" not only of the Microsoft Word!! :)
More hugs, @Roleerob!!
Thanks for the additional input @leveuf. I certainly value it and I will have to look into these two interfaces more, as my time permits. As for this ...
... you are kind, but ... I have worked hard to acquire the skill set I have. From which position I then can make a far better judgment than most as to what a "wizard" might look like. And subsequently know for sure that I am not there yet ... 😉
Your standards must be high! But maybe you are very close to that point of "wizardness"!
The best is that you are keeping relaxed just knowing what objectives you have and what's really important in life (Appreciation for your Time as a good example)!! :)
Yes, amen to this @leveuf ...
... the older I get, the more I appreciate the value of time. And, as a result, regretting my wasting of too much of it in the past and more resolute about making better use of it, in the future ...
I take your words deep in my heart to value my time just as you. But I know every experience conforms the person that we are now, maybe the time "wasted" in the past was necessary in some way. Your present time is more bright and your future is clear!!
Over my long life @leveuf ...
... while it would be nice if I never made a mistake (like wasting time ...) or created a problem, for myself or others, I don't believe that is possible. So ... Hopefully you and I, as we live life and "learn the hard way" where we have erred, we can at least look back and say "we learned something" for the next time! 👍
As there is almost inevitably a "next time" ... 😉
You've said it in a much better way! Learning is a big treasure when we are decide to do it! Experience and perspective could blend perfect for a better future, as you say!! 🙂
