The colorful fruits of Borneo
Its the fruits season in Sabah and Sarawak. Where ever you go in markets (fruit and vegetable), you can see wide variety of fruits! Some I have never seen or tasted before.
For Asian, especially in our tropical climate, we are blessed with abundant of vegetation.
We are especially famous with the king of fruits aka durian. But this time of the year, the season is other than the prestigous durian.
Bintulu Open Market
I am currently in Bintulu, my wife's hometown and we went to this wonderful market. I was amazed with the amount of fruits they have!
Amazingly, the price is very cheap as well. I also saw few foreigners taking photos and selfies with these fruits. I am sure that they are as amazed as me.
The famous Butod
Butod or Sagoo worm is a delicacy here in Borneo. We eat them alive. Well, at least that is what I heard. I have never tried them myself.
They are very cute for me to eat them (actually I am too scared to eat them).
My self-planted Mango.
