How long does it take to evaporate water from a 10cm diameter spherical cup?

OK, this one is for math (calculus) enthusiasts out there! :-)

Imagine a semi-spherical receptacle with a diameter of 10 cms filled to the rim with water.

The water evaporates at a rate that is directly related to the surface area exposed to the air, along with other environmental parameters such as the temperature of the water, temperature of the air and air speed.

Assuming that the conditions are such that the water evaporates at a constant rate of 30 liters per square meter per hour (30 l/m2h),

How long will it take for all the water to have evaporated from the recipient?

Good luck! :-)

This seems suspiciously like a homework question to me. I'm just glad I graduated physical chemistry a long time ago :P

I wish I wasn't 25 years too old for homework. 😀
Never realised how fun homework can be!
