I have issues with him too. I've even flagged him, but I can only take away cents. He has a huge number of followers, but it seems their votes are not enough and he feels he has to keep buying votes and stay on trending. I see he tells his followers to vote each other, but he is actually reducing their rewards by taking such a big share of the pool. I really don't care what he is writing about, but he is being selfish.

He's not the only one doing this, but just the most prominent. It sets a bad example for new users as trending is the first thing they see. I've seen plenty who just buy votes, but not enough to be on trending and they get hardly any comments.

I'd like to see Steemit change the default page. Hot would be better, but people would probably game that too.

I mean i botted quite a bit, but always made it a point of staying away from the trending page.
I mean... A few times per week is fine i guess, but he bots to the top every single post he makes.

Theres such a thing as "too much".

I wonder what is the excuse for 'botting' if it doesn't get you trending. It won't get you much attention, but you may make a small profit. I don't do it, but then I have people supporting me anyway for nothing. I don't self vote either as I'm not that desperate for a few extra cents.

There are lots of people botting junk posts every day and some of us flag them to remove their profits.

I did it to get a few Steem per post. I generally make $0.2-$0.3 per post and i give out almost twice that per day. So i boted a bit to earn a few coins more.
Ill probably give it up...
It is just only a few more dollars anyway.

I don't consider it worthwhile to me. I'm more interested in human interaction and I do okay for rewards. You need more followers and that comes through interaction. This post has been shared a lot, so that may gain you some.

Yeah, youre probably right. You dont really see where youre standing until you stop botting.
