Until I Fall, a story series: Chapter 1 part 1: When I Awoke

A man awakes in a large field of grass, completely confused on where he is, or what is going on. As he slowly rises, and looks around to look around, a vast island, filled with towns with farms and playgrounds, two cities, with towering skyscrapers.
“What the hell is going on here? W-wasn’t I just at work a couple of minutes ago?” He says to himself, scratching his head. Still confused, and frightened, he slowly makes his way over to the closest town. As he walks, he checks his watch every so often, to try and see what time it is; 1:34, 1:39, And 1:51. He finally reaches the town, yet it’s abandoned, nothing but bullet casings, blood and scrap could be found. This did nothing but increase his fear, caution and confusion. Just for safety reasons, he picks up one of the Double Barreled shotguns lying on the ground, and check how much ammo is in. He finds one empty shell, but also one full one. After removing the empty shell, he starts to jog through the town, looking for anyone.

“Hello?! Anyone out here?!” He’s shout, hoping to get someone’s attention. He hears a quiet voice, followed by some louder coughs. He raises his weapon, and steadily paces toward the voice.
“W-who are you, are you alright? Why is there so much blood outside? D-do you know where I am? Or why I’m here?” He’s say, panic filling his voice.
“I-I’m n-not hostile C-cough cough I’m b-bleeding out” a ladies voice would say. When he hears “Bleeding out” He rushes to the voice, turning into a grocery store, littered with dead bodies, guns, bullet casings, and obviously, blood. He sees a person wearing A cat mask, a beautiful black dress, and a backpack, clutching her wounds. He rushes over to her, and offers assistance, tearing off most of his shirt sleeves to use as bandages.
“Oh crap, are you ok miss?” He says tying the makeshift bandage around her arm
“Y-yes, I’m fine... b-but you aren’t” She says, lifting up her mask, showing him her scared, dirty, face, with one eye covered with a piece of duct tape.
