My Introduction To Storytelling Mentorship Group
Hello fellow Steemians!
I read @michelle.gent since i got involved with Steemit community. She's so talented and doesn't need my compliments at all :) So i will pass them. I want to make an introduction of myself for her recent project: Storytelling Mentroship Group.
Do you know who Cihad is? Cihad is a harworking ship agent. He serves vessel owners, company directors, captains etc. Shortly anyone but himself.
Cihad is also in love. He married with his love 2 years ago. That means he added one more person to his "to serve" list. Well, his wife could be the only person he enjoys serving of.
Despite all of those recent news, Cihad is a writer-to-be. This is all his dream since he was on primary school. Actually, he's pretty good at writing. But only in Turkish. He written poems those loved by people so much so far. He also written fictional stories and political articals. He prepared a fanzine with his friends. If they didn't face economical issues, it was really good.
Why is Cihad want to be a participant of this Storytelling Mentorship Group? I think answer is simple: A new challenge. He wants to reach the people all over the world. But he also knows that he's not enough on writing in English. He can't command these foreign literary movements and feels like he has a lot of things to learn. And the chance of learning from @michelle.gent is exciting him.
He knows that he's going to learn lots of things in that experience. Actually, he's sure of it. He's counting on Michelle's experience and hoping that he could get useful things from it. Yes, he's eager to go!
Let's hope everything to be as his wishes!
About 864 km from Turkey is Lebanon where a poet once lived, Kahlil Gibran. His poems are some of my favorite. I even had one read at my wedding. Nice to meet someone from Turkey who writes poems.
I enjoyed reading your introduction.
Nice to hear from someone likes eastern poetry. Unfortunately, i haven't have read Kahlil Gibran before. But i will. And recommend you to take a pick to Orhan Veli, Nazım Hikmet and Özdemir Asaf's poems as a introduction to Turkish poetry :)
All the best with your writing mate.
Let's toast this writing journey with a cup of Chai!
Thank you for the build-up Cihad! No pressure? ;)
I'll go away and think on the best way to advise on your writing, but as your English is very good, that's at least one stepping-stone over and done with.
Well done!
That's encouraging for the beginning, i guess :) I am really full of hope and excitement! Thanks Michelle :)
