Years ago, whenever I felt bad I always started searching the internet to understand the bad feelings I had. However, every time I searched for happiness, how to get over bad moods or depression I always found the same things said by everyone on the web. Be a positive thinker, money is not everything, true happiness is connected to your higher self, and happiness is not related to what you have. While some of these concepts might work for some people, they are surely worthless for others who try to apply them.
If you have certain beliefs about life like believing that money is not important, then the money is not everything concept might work for you, but if you are like most people who think that money is important, then thinking positively for 100 years wont change your mood the slightest bit.
If you want to be rich to satisfy your ego, then nothing in the world will make you happy except becoming rich and if you were depressed because your wife left you, then the true happiness concept will be something that annoys you instead of making you feel better.
The problem with these concepts is that they suit certain people and not everyone, but unfortunately on the internet everyone writes what works for them on their website and assumes that it will apply to everyone else in the world.
If you have a big dream that you werent able to fulfill, then true happiness is to make this dream come true. Thinking positively, letting go or forgetting about it will only result in suppressed emotions that will make your life even worse.
I am not underestimating the power of positive thinking.
I wanted to say was that positive thinking is never the solution but only something that can help you along your way while implementing the solution. What most people mistakenly do is think that positive thinking is the solution then depend on it 100%, which of course results in a worse mood few days later.
