Meet Rakibul, His daily earning $1.25 || 2 SBD can pay a month house rent.

in #story7 years ago

Dear all,

We sometimes giveaway SBD/Steem to one another just as gift. But the 0.156 SBD, in USD impact largely to many people. Specially charities. If you send me a gift, I am doing nothing with the money but will be more wealthy to do what I want and where I should spend. But charities on steemit can make huge difference.

Let me share about Rakibul

Rakibul is 10-12 years old boy was coming from local fish market and met me on street while I was riding bicycle. As like many kids, first he became nervous after getting questions from a strangers. It was 3/4 December, 2016. I asked Rakibul and recorded the interview with some key questions. It helped me to understand how difficulties my community kids are facing .

Rakibul's father had died but his mother is alive with health injury who can't walk. So, Rakibul work in the market for $1.25 in a day. Sometimes he gets free fishes from his random employers. He supply water for fish market. His big brother also works in the market with daily wages $ 3.125 in a day.

He goes to market with his friends sometimes but return alone and earlier than other to take bath and go to Madrasha "Islamic education center". Where he learn Arabic, Bengali and English. He and his brother manage all the expenses of the family. Their house rent is $15 per month. which means not more than 2 SBD if we consider current market price of the SBD.

Vitamin N is a Vitamin not mentioned by doctors. It is called "Not" . Vitamin Not = Vitamin N . These kids don't have vitamin N deficiency since childhood. Parents can't give all things they want. So they don't expect anything special from society or parents. When they ask for ball, parents say "Not" and this vitamin N limit their demands and dreams.

But @SchoolForSDG4 trying to help the kids so they can find better life at school and also see dream to be something big.

Wow that’s truly amazing those warnings can pay for entire month worth!
I will spread his story!
Our Steemit community is truly changing things!

My girlfriend is thinking of trying to get a steemit charity thing going to pay for bar girls to leave their jobs for a night, so she can teach them English! lol.

(the bar girls get cheated all the time because they don't speak English-and have unprotected sex because of not understanding properly!)
She would do the teaching for free, but the girls can't afford/wont be let - a night off.
My girlfriend is fluent in English - very good (used to translate in law courts, kind of standard).

It pisses her off greatly , but we can't afford to stand the cost by ourselves everyday..
($15-25)
Lucy says she could teach them enough English in 1 (maybe 2 ) days, to such a level they would be able to handle any business agreements with customers..

Unorthodox charity work?- maybe - but it gives poor uneducated girls a better chance in life, and to feed their children and families.

...teach a girl to speak English, and she can fish for life...

I'll let you know if she decides to do it. I have zero experience in any charity stuff...

Keep doing this great work of selfless service. God bless you

There are lots of Rakibul in every markets of Bangladesh. But nobody is caring about them. Thanks to you. You are doing something good. Keep up

Good job carry on @azizbd thanks a lot bro for sharing us
