Hi.

I am Rob Johnson. I am a privileged 31 year old white American male who recently quit his 8 year career at a major bank to chase his dream: Being an Entrepreneur. I was a registered stock broker at a major firm, making a healthy salary and had the prospect of taking over a large book of business and having a cake walk into becoming a millionaire in the next 10 years --- but I decided to take an alternate route:

When I was 12 years old (in 1997) my mother who worked at IBM brought home a computer! I was not blessed with a body of a greek god, but I would consider myself more intelligent then about 3/4 of the people on this airplane I am currently sitting on. The plane is on its way to Denver and filled with 1/4 business men/women and 3/4 younger idiots on their way to the Rockies to smoke grass, sip micro-brews, and shred some GNAR pow. I was at one time one of those kids but I will save that story for another day (I actually still am that but I am trying to start this blog off in a professional manner before it gets seedy). So before I get away from myself I would consider myself to be in the business man class on this plane and very intelligent with a hint of narcissism . However, at an early age I was the runt of the litter --- growing up with a terrible case of Asthma the doctors thought my growth was stunted when I was 15 and only weighed 88 pounds and was 5 foot 2. So as much as I loved playing sports, I had to be content with being a spectator (and future speculator). So 19 years ago, when my wonderful single mother brought home that IBM pc with a 28k dial up modem my life was forever changed. I would consider myself an extremely curious person and not knowing how everything that I use on a day to day basis works leaves me crippled with anxious thoughts and a racing mind. So there I was at 12 years old breaking apart our family computer studying the parts and putting them back together and learning the ins and outs of the windows 95 software, the early stages of the internet as we know it (viewed then through AOL or us young hack3rs called it: AO-Hell), and the basics to object oriented programming via visual basic. There were countless evenings in which my mother and I would get in yelling matches regarding me tying up the phone-line from being connected to the internet all night, or her disconnecting me from something so utterly important that I would find myself in temper tantrum over the 5 minutes that I was disconnected from an AOL chat room about hacking or programming. I guess she was also a little startled that her work(home) computer was separated into 20 different pieces on the floor when she would come home from a long days work - and her oldest son of 3 was studying the components of that rather than babysitting his younger two brothers who were likely causing mayhem in the neighborhood at the time.

Now lets flash back forward 19 years later and here I am sitting on a Boeing 737 jet flown by southwest Airlines on my way to San Francisco, but stopping in Denver (with these hippies) to change plans. Why am I not flying direct? Well, I live in a what some consider a shit-hole of a town, St. Louis, but I consider it home as I have lived there or within 100 miles of it my whole life and I have a very tight knit family who all lives there as well as a beautiful girlfriend and two guard dogs. This was the most efficient way for me to get to San Francisco without leaving midday to add on anymore travel time to this 12 day journey that just begun about 20 minutes before I started this post. I am flying on free points that I earned from the nearly $150,000 of spend that I put on my Southwest credit card last year while advertising for financial leads on Facebook. When I land in San Francisco I am meeting the master of everything that is Facebook advertising, my friend Tim. Tim and I met about 2 years ago at the "Affiliate Summit East" conference in New York. At the time I was leading a team of 5 people who all worked with me to generate leads for a the financial/forex sector --- and we were making an absolute KILLING. A killing to me was considered 5 figures a day of profit on autopilot and growing pretty quickly. Since then the team has somewhat fallen a part but we all stay in touch and are currently working on separate projects which is the reason I am sitting on this flight and writing this utterly boring post to the STEEM community. Six months ago, I was supposed to meet Tim at his Facebook "Mastermind" in Las Vegas, but i had some issues with weather canceling a few of my flights and was pretty cash poor at the time. After missing that Tim reached out to me to see if I wanted to go to his mastermind in Singapore instead, since I was unable to attend the one in Vegas. I was very intrigued by the prospect of not only going to the mastermind, but exploring Asia after the mastermind and doing it with someone who I very much look up to in the marketing world. So here I am on my first flight of nine about to embark on a journey that really has no guidelines with a group of people that i have never met besides two which I have met for a day or two. This trip will be completely documented/ filmed / photographed to the extent that I am not annoying everyone around me or pissing off authorities or bad guys. I am positive something very wild will happen and also some very cool meetings / relationships / and experiences will come from it.

This is an adventure that I am hoping to come out of with a better grasp on what I am going to be doing with the next 1, 3 and 5 years of my life business-wise. I am also looking for some sort of higher-being or better selfless awareness on this trip as I have spent the last 12 years of my life on the diet of a 21 year old on his 21st birthday. I was raised very religious and have now become more of a karma person. I am not really sure if I do believe in a higher being but I do believe that luck is created by yourself. I have yet to meet a very successful person who has been a snake his entire life or who hasn't given back to society in one for or another. We will see if Asia enlightens me so that I can find peace within my body/mind and find this guy they call Buddha. So far I haven't been able to find him but I have smoked an awful lot of him. Also like that last 12 years (actually more like 18 years) of my life I am looking to do some good old fashion partying --- but in a completely different part of the world that I have never encountered or to be honest even read about. I have no clue what I am in for, but I am in.

Here is the flight schedule for my next 12 days: St. Louis > Denver > San Francisco> Singapore > Kuala Lumpur > Bangkok > Phuket > Seoul > San Francisco > Denver > St. Louis

With each post I am going to leave a funny story that has happened in my life --- or an idea that I want to further explore. Since today is 3/14 or Pi-Day and I am from St. Louis, area code 314, I will tell a funny story that occurred recently in my home town.

I have a friend who owns a gym and I was talking to him about taking over his marketing for his gym. I had recently also just purchased some turn tables and had been practicing my hand at DJing. I am a phish-head and never was into DJing but again once I started messing with it, I had to master it. I noticed that there was both an art and a science to it that I could teach myself if I devoted enough time to it. Anyways, the friend with the gym wanted me to help him with his marketing and also needed a live DJ for a charity even gym class. We were having this discussion outside of a bar at about midnight and I was 3-sheets to the wind so I decided why don't you let me DJ, I am better than those other "clowns". Little did I know what I got myself into. It was 2 back to back 90 minute gym classes with an instructor who would yell instructions to the participants and then point at me to lets the bass drop and blast the music. My DJ name is DJ Anxiety, and my tagline is: "DJ Anxiety on the 1 and 2 milligrams" - as I am an anxious guy who is prescribed Xanax and my friends found it rather entertaining. Anyways the gym deal went well --- I had a friend who taught me how to DJ do the gig with me and he made sure I didn't let the songs run out or anything bad happen. I played some funny sound effects while older women were running on treadmills working out in this interval training gym. One of the sound effects was "RUN FOR YOUR FUCKING LIFE" so that certainly perked some ears. Now, 2 weekends ago I am at local underground DJ spot and I meet this guy who is in charge of booking all the big DJ's that come through St. Louis, and I showed him my facebook fan page (which has 7 likes) and he laughed and asked why only 7 likes and I said because "i'm super underground". I showed him my website: http://djanxiety.live that talks about how I pay you to DJ your bar mitzvah and he was sold. So I set a meeting with him to do some Facebook ad buying for one of his separate eCommerce businesses and now I am DJing on April 1st (hopefully its not an April fools joke) opening for "Cosmic Gate". I have no clue who they are but they have about 94k followers on soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/cosmicgateofficial) . So while I am on this journey to Asia I need to mentally be preparing sets for my big debut as a DJ at Ryse Night Club in the Ameristar Casino in St. Charles Missouri.

Thank you for reading.
