Steemit Tips for Newbies/Minnows

This post is to help the newbies or minnows who might have been wondering how steemit work or operating.

Good evening, afternoon or morning to you wherever you reading this post, I want to share this little information post with my fellows newbies who are still new to steemit platform or how steemit operations are; you must have being around for a while in this platform but want to tap something’s new, then I urge you to read this. I hope this post will help give you some tips.

What is a Steem Power, Steem and Steem Dollar and Tags?

Here I will explain little to the best of my knowledge.

Let me first discuss about Steem Dollar?
Let me say a steem dollar is a sister currency to steem itself, that is pegged to the US dollar ($). Each Steem Dollar can be used to purchase approximately 1.200 Steem because of the currently value at the time of this post. Also Steem Dollar can be used to procure others crypro currencies such: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Ripple and Lot more.

Now, Let talk about Steem Power.

What is steem Power?
This is a special form of steem. Steem Power is require to vote on best contest on steemit platform. Properly is to appreciate the efforts of authors for the great work on their post. It is important to know that the more “Steem Power” you have in your possession, the greatest the value of your vote on other contents or on your own post. Therefore in order to acquire Steem Power you will need to buy Steem with Steem sister that is “Steem Dollar” or you can convert Steem to steem Power by a process of called powering up or alternately earn Steem Power through posting or curation.
I think using appropriate Tags is also an important issue that need to discuss.
What is meant by Tags and its meaning?

There are diverse views or opinion regarding this issue of tags, but let me explain in little, the way I understand it.

Tag are add at the bottom of your post to make them easier to find or view. You can use up to maximum of 5 tags in a post. Note: The first tag becomes your main tag category and once set this first tag it cannot be changed.

The other remaining tags can be edited prior the standard period of day to post payout. If your post contains any graphic content, the graphic source at which you get the pictures from has to be mention to avoid flagging on your post. NOTE: Do Not Use or Engage in Tag Spamming- Using tags which do not fit your post; you may get flagged by some Steemit Users.
