It all started with some bang bang and a little bit of blopity blop blop, to me I was in the clouds, nothing could stop this feeling, nothing could compare to this moment.

But as I look on back now, I feel only regret.

Its been 6 months since I saw sophia (angelina?,carolina?).

I had been going about my usual daily routine, you know, sitting in the studio, trying the hands on a new keyboard I just got, listening to some K-pop songs etc.

The knock on the door came unexpectedly, because I was sure I wasnt expecting anyone.

The biggest shock perhaps was seeing sophia standing in front of my door, with a tummy one feet off its usual position.

In this instant do I stand, reflecting my past, present and future, wondering if the pleasure of so many months ago, was worth the situation i currently see myself.

My name is Juan, and Im about to be a father.....

Hello steemians!

Wow, writing is hard aint it, more specifically however , i would say, writing stories is hard.

So it happened that I have been with family for a while now, taking a much deserved break from traveling and spreading the words of the digital lord(steem in this case).

So me and my junior bro have been going at it for a while , hes an artist, young but upcoming , and Im a music producer. To me, a complete story begins with a good beat and ends on a good beat.

To him however, a good story begins with an emotion pumping narrative .

Our two worlds meet on the big screen, but until then, one is about writing /drawing, while the other is about sounds ..

It got to a point where he told me I couldnt write a normal story hence the introduction you see.

But after writing that, I got thinking.

Thinking....hmmmmm......

I have always been a lover of books, and while I do tease my bro a lot, appreciate the artform.

Over the years I have read a lot of awesome stories. A lot go by unnoticed. Heck, even the amazing ones that get adapted to animation and live action, the origina writers are often forgotten in the wind.

Case in point, im sure most of you have watched ready player one.

Very interesting movie, amazing sound score, beautiful graphics, but how many of you know who wrote it ?

Half of you reading this might not even know that the movie is from a book!

The seen days, Hollywood has been very kind to turn book writers into millionaires , Ernest Cline is amazing for his book, but the world over, not so many books writers are successful or recognized .

Why am I writing this? Because my bro hopes to write an interesting story some day and I dont want his story being read amd then left in the wind, only for one Hollywood director to Come and reshape the whole thing into a blockbuster.

I see lots of story tellers in the "story tag" on steemit.

If you love a good work, resteem, upvote and comment.
Encourage them too.

Im not gonna talk about a certain story teller who was frustrated by a certain person.

I Love a good story, sci fi, futuristic stories by o be exact.

If you know of any good one, put it in the comments below.

So far, ive read Eon by greg bear,
da vinci code(never finished it),
equator by brian aldiss,
space, time and nathan by brian aldiss,
the interpreter by brian aldiss,
ready player one,
halo(technically a game, but the books that follow it are more than 7, read them all)
Startrek(the one where uhuru, chevok and sulu disable a bomb, and chevok is like the lead)

And many more,

I recommend those books above for anyone who loves to read sci fi.

Wow. We actually have a lot in common!
I also love reading. I read my first book when I was 5 years old(It was Chinua Achebe's 'things fall apart'). Reading has always been my escape. I remember when I was young and usually home alone, warned severely to not set foot outside the apartment; in those years, books helped transport me to different worlds, peoples and cultures. I don't consider myself as that much of a writer though. I feel like I'm not as eloquent with words when writing as when I speak. But I still love a good read. I average around 3 books per week right now, but I'm working on doing more.

I also sing. Music for me is art. I love the neo soul genre because it is rich, artistic and vibrant. Maybe we'll do something together one day.

Don't worry much about your brother's book not getting recognized. There are still very avid readers out there who love great books. It'll be a best seller!!

Thanks @destinysaid for the write up. We are trying our best to provide the best service for the community. We are currently in the process of changing the UI of the site and adding more features. Follow us on @dbooks.org to get updates. An update is coming out very soon.

Indeed, writing is not an easy task, it is not just to carry pen and paper or even a typing machine and start writing or rather typing, you must stress your brain in order to inspire or motivate someone somewhere. If not, it will surprise you that people are using book to clean their..... as a tissue paper

Wow. I love stories, I have got quite some numbers to share. I will try the Dbook tag. Thanks for the heads-up

A black man can the definitely do something. And by the way, your story at the beginning was great even though not complete. Just keep on bro

Very educative......

Building a passion around writing stories though it's not easy but this can never be over emphasized. There's no pursuit without passion. What you are not passionate about can never interest you to commit to itYour passion will help unlock the creativity in you,and when you are passionate, you become energized.

Let him keep writing, the more you write the better you become.

Good initiative @destinysaid, actually steemit is my motivator when it comes to writing.

I am happy you found dbooks, as well. Those guys did a good job.

:D You're far too kind.
