STORY OF RABBIT

in #storylast month

In a lush green forest, there lived a curious rabbit named Rollo. Unlike the other rabbits, Rollo had a keen eye for the extraordinary. One sunny morning, while hopping through the woods in search of breakfast, he stumbled upon something peculiar shimmering under a bush. As he approached, he saw it was a carrot, but not just any carrot—a carrot made of pure silver.

Rollo’s eyes widened in amazement. He carefully picked up the silver carrot and turned it over in his paws. It felt cool and heavy, unlike any carrot he had ever seen. Rollo knew this carrot was special, so he decided to take it back to his burrow.

As he hopped home, other animals in the forest noticed the gleaming carrot and gathered around Rollo, asking him where he had found such a treasure. Rollo, proud and a bit overwhelmed by the attention, told them about the silver carrot’s discovery.

The news of the silver carrot spread quickly through the forest. Soon, everyone from the wise old owl to the playful squirrels wanted to catch a glimpse of the extraordinary vegetable. Many animals believed the silver carrot had magical properties and could bring good luck or grant wishes.

Rollo, curious about the carrot's origins, decided to seek advice from the oldest and wisest creature in the forest, the Great Tortoise. The Great Tortoise lived at the edge of the forest in a moss-covered cave. Rollo, carrying the silver carrot, made his way to the Tortoise’s home.

After a long journey, Rollo finally reached the cave and found the Great Tortoise basking in the afternoon sun. The Tortoise slowly opened his eyes and greeted Rollo. Rollo explained how he found the silver carrot and asked if the Tortoise knew anything about it.

The Great Tortoise examined the carrot closely, his eyes reflecting years of wisdom. "This, my young friend, is no ordinary carrot," he said in a deep, slow voice. "It was created by the forest’s guardian spirits long ago. The silver carrot is a symbol of purity and kindness. It has the power to bring prosperity and harmony to whoever possesses it, but only if they use it for good."

Rollo listened intently and asked, "What should I do with it?"

The Great Tortoise replied, "Share its magic with the forest. Use it to help others, and it will bring happiness to all."

Rollo nodded, understanding the responsibility that came with the silver carrot. He thanked the Great Tortoise and made his way back home.

From that day on, Rollo used the silver carrot to help his fellow forest creatures. When the river dried up, he wished for rain, and the skies opened. When the birds couldn’t find food in the harsh winter, he wished for an abundant harvest, and the forest flourished with berries and nuts. Rollo never used the carrot for selfish reasons; he always thought of the greater good.

The forest thrived, and all the animals lived in harmony, thanks to Rollo and his silver carrot. And so, the legend of Rollo, the rabbit with the silver carrot, was passed down through generations, a tale of kindness, wisdom, and the magic of selflessness.
