Don't waste your money on buying votes, the only people getting rich are the sellers.
Get out and find voters, power up what you do get, at least until 500sp, and hang on, this ride is just starting.
Those vote sellers know this and are raping the reward pool while it is still easy.

500 SP. BTW, minimum salary in Venezuela is about 8 USD a month. It's hard to keep the money here and use it to power up when there's such great a need at home. I think I can do some and I've been reading about strategies to optimize my Steemit usage and earnings, but in my honest opinion your advice may not be applied by everyone.
I agree, do what you need to do.
It's hard to put the ideal ahead of the reality.
