It's interesting reading this from the female perspective. Growing up, I felt so much anxiety approaching women I admired. I was labeled as torpe, or someone who's uber-shy towards someone he likes. By uber-shy, I mean literally freezing up and becoming mute haha! If only I knew that women went through the same things, I wouldn't have been as shy as I was. The inclusion of Pooh is a nice touch. I hope some references of the cartoon are peppered throughout the next chapters haha!
Yes, girls definitely feel the same insecurities, even the ones that don't appear to. In fact, my one good friend who was always beautiful (model even, Jess is based on her) seemed very confident but actually didn't find true confidence until much later in life.

I LOVE winnie the pooh, to the extent that had I been gifted with Pooh paper on my walls, I also would have found it really difficult to change hahaha!
Wait, what?? No way! Is that meant to be taken literally? I did have tinnitus a bunch of times during the day hahaha! Definitely freaky if that's connected. I always thought that it was just from my history of wearing earphones.
