When a man wants more... (Original)

He lived among the streets of a town called Condra, a place scourged by delinquency and dirt that did not seem to have any salvation at all, offered no hope in its smallest expression, which provoked a harsh depression and rage among its inhabitants ) Honest, since as I said before, it was a site whipped by crime and impunity.

The authorities of the site did not seem to mind in the least the atrocities that were occurring in this town, for they considered that the people there were already sunk in perdition. However, there was still a minority that despite all these adversities, somehow they remained inspired. The picture did not look promising, but there was Horacio, a 20-year-old who had grown up in the village, came from a rather poor family with many problems with alcoholism and drugs, but Horacio liked reading about the people Influential in the history of mankind.

Regardless of the field in which they developed, Horacio realized that what these people had in common was a thirst for incredible victory and an unshakable morality to follow their individual principles no matter what.

Horacio wanted to enter a prestigious university to study the architectural career, but without the support of his family, he could not afford a private university, so he had to fight to stay for a scholarship at one of these universities. It was not at all easy since thousands of people tried to enter this university when the quota per year via scholarship was only 10 people, but this did not stop Horacio.

He had only 3 months to prepare before the final test to define the quota to the university, which in the end was his goal. During the first month Horacio wanted to practice several types of designs that he had read in one or another book, this was not a problem for him, since this was his strong area so to speak. However, there was a big problem, mathematics ... A very necessary subject in this type of racing but which in turn was difficult for him, so he had to practice.

In that dusty place it was very difficult to get such books, it was of great value, and being of great value it was probable that someone would steal it to you, but this did not seem to stop Horacio, who always had in mind the characteristics in common of The great men of humanity, thirst for victory and unshakable morality.

Then Horario decided to sell a few things that belonged to him to collect some money and to go to another city in search of some book that had the knowledge enough to practice to the maximum, always visualizing its goal that was to enter the university and to guarantee his Future away from Condra.

He managed to get the book and had just enough money to get it, but when he got to the place where he was going to buy the book, a group of criminals in less than a minute assaulted him, stripping him of anything of value that he carried. This certainly destroyed Horace, he thought of surrendering several times, but it was more his desire to leave once and for all of Condra that this feeling kept him standing.

When he returned home he noticed that at the entrance of the city where he was a library, it occurred to him that since he had no money he could go to that library to practice mathematics a few hours every day. Clearly it was going to be exhausting, because his house was about 3 hours, but he knew that the goal was totally worth it.

He kept going to that library every day without fail, during the 3 months he had available to become an expert in mathematics and thus earn the scholarship.

I had practiced so much that on the day of the test I felt totally confident, I felt it was a day of practice. As a matter of fact, Horacio was among the first 3 students with the best qualification, achieved his goal of entering the university and away from the environment represented by that dusty town called Condra.

The point to be emphasized in this account is that, however adverse the circumstances may be, they do not have such a serious effect on men with an unwavering will and morality, and also complement it with the thirst for victory as Horacio did.

Life isn't as we always presume it to be. It has both ups and downs and you wouldn't always be at the top spot. You will surely taste what's at the bottom too. That's life for you!
