The Story Of The Coin Toss

A General and his army were preparing for a major battle. Although they were going to be vastly outnumbered, the General was confident that victory would be theirs. His army, however, was feeling uncertain.

Before the battle, they paid a visit to a holy shrine. After praying, the General took out a coin from his pocket. “This coin toss will reveal our destiny. If it lands on heads, we will win. If it lands on tails, we will lose.”
The General tossed the coin in the air, and everyone watched in anticipation. It landed on heads! The men were so delighted that they fought their opposition with renewed vigour and passion, sure they could not fail.
After they had won, a sergeant commented to the General, “Nobody can alter destiny!”
“Very true,” the General replied, showing the sergeant his coin. It had heads on both sides!
