Prambanan, The Historic Temple Enchantment No Endless

Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta is one of the favorite destinations of tourists. In addition, Prambanan also has  Roro Jonggrang myth. For the traveler who weekend long vacation to Yogyakarta, usually always make the Prambanan Temple as a must visit destination in addition to Malioboro Street or Borobudur in Magelang. While it is popular and mainstream, there's always something that can be seen at Prambanan. 

Prambanan Temple is located on the border between Sleman, Yogyakarta and Klaten, Central Java. The largest Hindu temple in Southeast Asia was built in the 9th century as an offering to the god Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu. Interestingly, the initial amount of Prambanan Temple has 240 temples. The highest temple here have 47 meters high by 34 meters wide and is devoted to Lord Shiva. The temple was first discovered in 1733 by Dutch researcher named CA Lons.

From that moment, international parties started paying attention to neglected sites and take care of it properly. Having undergone several restoration, has now become one of the Prambanan Temple beautiful attractions that must be visited when in Yogyakarta. 

Story of Legend Roro Jonggrang

Prambanan is also attached to the myth Roro Jonggrang. Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl named Roro Jonggrang who wanted to marry by Bondowoso, powerful young man. It turns out the hearts of Princess Roro Jonggrang not pounding to Bondowoso, then she rejected the request Bondowoso for a subtle way. Roro was asked Bondowoso to build 1,000 temples in one night. 

If Bondowoso can not qualify, then their marriage could not take place. Bondowoso felt very powerful, immediately agreeing to these terms. Fearing ability of Bondowoso, Roro was looking for a reason.  She was pounding rice near the chicken coop to make a cock crowed. The ruse was successful, indicating the rooster crows in the morning has come. While the temples are made only reached 999. Bondowoso angry and cursed Roro Jonggrang into the temple to 1,000. Regardless of the truth, the story Roro Jonggrang it became one of the allure of Prambanan always tell. 

Beauty of Sunset on Prambanan Temple

Holidays to Yogyakarta will be complete if not visit Prambanan Temple. May have been many who visit this place because of its history. I have another reason. I have a different way to enjoy the beauty of Prambanan with my friend, which is waiting for the sunset and see the beauty of golden yellow light in the sky Yogyakarta. Exploring thousand temples at Prambanan might be very tiring. But for me it was very pleasant. Not only a thousand temples that can be explored with a legendary history, it sunset can also be enjoyed while releasing the exhausted mind in the head. 

Satisfied exploring Prambanan Temple while learning the history, I was waiting for sunset while sitting facing west. Me and my friend with a bottle of white water releases the thirst. Initially, I thought there were only two of us will enjoy the beautiful sunset at Prambanan Temple. Unsuspected, it turns out many are already waiting to enjoy the beauty of Prambanan Temple at dusk. 

 The beauty of Sunset at Prambanan Temple was indeed perfect to end the trip in Yogyakarta, a city full of stories and history.
