Trips to Delhi 2
It is believed that before the formation of modern Delhi today, Delhi has been seven times brittle and settled, some of which can still be seen.
Lalkot, Siri Fort and Kila Rai Pithora: The oldest fortress of Rajputs was transferred by Qutbuddin Aibak near Lal Kot
The Fort of Siri, built by Alauddin Khilji in 1303
Created by Tughluqabad, Gasasuddin Tughluq (1321-1325)
Jainpanaah Qila, built by Muhammad bin Tughluq (1325-1351)
Kotla Feroz Shah, built by Ferozeshah Tughlaq (1351-1388)
The old fort (Sher Shah Suri) and Dinappanah (Humayun) are both in the same place where there is talk of mythical Indraprastha (1538-1545).
Shahjahanabad, built by Shah Jahan (1638-1649); This includes the Lal Qila and Chandni Chowk.
In the middle of the seventeenth century, Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (1628-1658) sat for Delhi for the seventh time, also called as Shahjahanabad. Nowadays some parts of it are safe in old Delhi. In this city the heritage of history is still preserved in which the Lal Qila is the most famous. Unless Shahjahan shifted his capital to Agra, old Delhi was the capital of Mughal Emperor after 1638. Aurangzeb (1658-1707) removed Shahjahan from the throne and declared himself the emperor in Shalimar Bagh. After fully pressing the 1857 movement, when the British sent Bahadur Shah Zafar to Rangoon, India was completely under British rule. Initially, he took control from Calcutta (nowadays Kolkata) but in 1911, the colonial capital was shifted to Delhi. In the process of reconstruction of the metropolis at large level, some parts of the old town have been demolished.
