While this title might be strange to some people, bookworms and gabrielle union lovers are definitely not new to it.
I have loved gabrielle union since she played the role Eva in the movie deliver us from eva, she is beautiful and smart and i definitely cannot forget her from being mary jane.

We’re Going to Need More Wine is smart, funny, and enlightening in a cool way that i wasn't expecting. I related to some of her stories and problems. It's safe to say i am proud of her for spilling everything out no matter how hard it seemed.

LESSONS TO LEARN FROM THE BOOK

Journey from being a "victim" to a "survivor".

Nickie as she is fondly called by her friends and family was raped brutally during a store robbery. Despite the pain and stigma that the "code 216" brought, she thrived, she found a group of people that had been raped and healed with them.
Tip: You do not have to suffer in silence, there is always someone who has gone through worse than you are experiencing, get help!

Me too moments.
Almost the same with the first one, after speaking up on how she was raped and molested, a lot of other women found strength in her voice and on various occasions she would meet these victims and they did not have to hug each other or cry, they only share their me too moments in silence and head nods.
Tip: If you were strong enough to get help, be the voice that others need to be strengthened to get help.

Choose your motherfucking self
It's easy to get carried away by everything that is happeneing in the world, in gab's case, she had trolls, she had cyber bullies, she had insensitive people on her trail, she had failed relationships and guess what she did, she pririotized herself and got saved.

I remember the moment I realized I was free, looking in a mirror and saying, “I choose my motherfucking self".

Tip: You are the largest shareholder of your life, choose yourself over every other thing because YOU MATTER.

Dark skin syndrome
Light-skin, dark-skin, and colorism are common conversations in a black community. Whether you are extremely fair skinned or filled with melanin, these circumstances have a lot to do with how you are treated in society, myself and gabrielle Union can attest to that.
The society has made people believe that the lighter skin you are, the more chances you have and the more beautiful you are.
Today, Gab embraces her beautiful melanin enriched skin, and encourages others to love the skin they're in.
Tip: The entire dark skin vs light skin is not even something to debate at all, it's okay to be insecure at times but don't allow your skin colour determine your standards.

Embrace every inch of your sexuality
Most of us should be familiar with judge blume, one of the major advocates for sex and not just the fairytale sex, she talks sex as real as it comes. Gab took a really bold turn when she gave us the sex bomb.

In her chapter, "Sex Miseducation" she openly admits: "I want people to make informed, joyful choices about sex. Because I love sex."
"Explore the full range of everything and feel zero shame. Don't let society's narrow scope about what they think you should do with your vagina determine what you do with your vagina."

Tip: Be yourself and enjoy sex whenever you choose to have it.

What makes you happy?
Take a short exercise, open your phone's timer and set it for 1 minute. In that minute, list 10 things that makes you happy. Gab was definitely stunned as she couldn't conviently list 10 things that made her happy.
Tip: You can only rock your boat well when you understand what makes you really happy.

You deserve a second chance
It doesn't matter whatever you did and failed at, you deserve to do it again and make it work. After her first marriage that crashed unceremoniously one would have sworn that she wasn't going to ever get married. But guess what, she came out really strong and found wade and now they are going to have to watch NARSVILLE together all their life.
Tip: You deserve to be happy and if repeating what you failed makes you happy. Do it Again!

Expand your horizons

Your world is only as small as you make it.

Gab grew up with her mother's words above ringing in her ears. As a child, herself and her mother would tour open houses of homes. Not because they were seeking or could afford to live in such luxury, but simply to see how other people lived.
It might seem weird but behimd her mother's word there were lessons to be learned.
Well, Gab's career doesn't seem to stray too far from her mother's words.
Tip: Step out of your comfort zone, possiblities in life are endless, expand your horizon and think diversely.

Big banks take little banks
Gab has achieved a huge success in Hollywood and has a huge bank account to prove it. She speaks about being the breadwinner in her past relationships before getting involved with Dwayne. While most people think not having to pay for everything may be a blessing, her lifestyle and choices had to change instantly.

"It's a simple rule dictating that whoever has more money wins. Whatever your income bracket, whoever has the power of the bigger purse in the relationship usually has the final decision," she writes.

Gab discusses the compromising financial changes, and the prenup she was given.
Tip: Understand that whoever has the longer bank numbers has the bigger chances of winning.

We all have girl and boy problems, it's normal
When it comes to womanly needs, it is really awkward. The world deems a few things as embarrassing so just imagine being a well known celebrity and having to go to the store to buy something the world has deemed "embarassing." Gab speaks about her experience in the drug stores during that time of the month and when she experienced the yeast infection and needed an over-the-counter fix.
It's about time we start normalizing everyday feminine needs, and make it less uncomfortable for everyone.
Tip: Buy the tampon, buy the Monistat, buy the condoms and forget whatever the society has to say. You cannot avoid some natural things so don't feel guilty about it.

BONUS TIP:
The novice cheater: Never ever cheat with someone who has lesser things to loose than you whenever your fling blows up. This would keep your partner inclined to keep quiet.
