Mudflow in Jambo Aye

Today, exactly January 23, 2019, at around 08:00 West Indonesia Time (WIB), an incident took place in Nanggroe Aceh, located in the village of Tanjung Meunyeu, Tanah Jambo Aye District, North Aceh Regency. The incident was the explosion of a borehole dug by residents for the needs of agriculture and volunteers in the local village.

The work of drilling wells for the needs of farmers was not far from the residents 'settlement, at that time according to residents' information the drilling process was carried out until successfully inserted around two pipes, but suddenly the workers who carried out the drilling saw the wells start acting strange, no longer ordinary water come out, but mud smells bad.

The mud was even more ferocious, the land that the workers took was willing to collapse, because they were still around the drilling work.

because they felt they left the work location, which was about 20 kilometers away to rest, but suddenly the well began to emit mud that emitted up to 10 meters into the air.

As if the mud had emanated like the fall of an explosive battery, at that time the residents around the well began to move to take advantage, from the information of the local residents there were seven houses that had to evacuate to find a safe place.

However, there are two possibilities in the mudflow tragedy in the village of Tanjong Meunye, allegedly there is a source of gas, and another thing that is feared by residents is the occurrence of mud as happened in East Java, on 29 May 2006 that spewed hot mud to sink several village.

Aceh is indeed known as the biggest oil and gas producing region in the past and that is from 1970 until now, although there is an issue of Aceh gas has been exhausted, but the fact in the field of oil and gas continues to appear to the surface of the earth, and as evidence, events that occurred in East Aceh district last year.

But we still pray, hopefully what happens in Tanah Jambo Aye this time is not Lapindo Mud, but rather an indication if there are still a lot of Oil and Gas in Aceh's earth.

Behind that we regret that if it really contains Oil and Gas, then those who benefit are not the people around it, let alone the province of Aceh.

If it is true that it contains Oil and Gas, then those who are prosperous are in Jakarta and also companies that run contracts with the Indonesian government.
