Hello , Today I'm going to narrate the biography of the person who created an empire with his passion, will power and hard work , the man behind the Reliance Group. Non other than late Shri Dhirubhai Ambani .

   Childhood and Early Days 

◆Most of the Readers may not knew it that the Real name of Shri.Dhirubhai Ambani was Dhirajlal Hirachand Ambani.
◆He was Bron on 28 December 1932 in a Modh baniya family to Hirachand Govardhandas Ambani and Jamanaben in the village of Chorwad in the district of Junagarh. His father was employed as a school teacher while his mother was a homemaker.
◆Since Childhood he never found Studies interesting and Soon he left his High School just because to follow his passion and love towards business
◆He always believe that there is no relation between Studies and Money and you can even earn money without gathering the school studies .
◆After leaving his high school he started selling Fritters (Pakode) and earn some good profits and later he got a new job at Aden ,so he left the country and traveled to Aden,Yemen.

    Career 

◆He was 16 years old when he stated to work as dispatch clerk with A. Besse & Co at Aden,Yemen.later he also worked at Dubai for sometimes .
◆After that he quite his Job and return to india , the love and passion towards the business brings him back to the country
◆He set up the business in partnership with Champaklal Damani with an Initial amount of Rs.15000(almost $220) ,but later he broke his partnership in 1965.
◆After so many experiments in business finally in 1966 he started his first textile mill at Naroda, near Ahmedabad with the brand name 'Vimal'.
◆With the passage of time, Dhirubhai diversified into petrochemicals and sectors like telecommunications, information technology, energy, power, retail, textiles, infrastructure services, capital markets, and logistics.
◆And today Reliance Industries Group is the biggest group in India with Almost Revenue of 430,731 crore (US$64 billion) (2018). ( This revenue only include Reliance Industries whose chairman is Mr. Mukesh Ambani and does not include Anil Ambani reliance Group) .

   Family and Personal life 

◆He married Kokilaben in 1954. The couple was blessed with four children, Anil Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, Nina Kothari and Deepti Salgaonkar.
◆A stroke in 1986 somewhat slowed him down and he handed over the reins of the company to his sons.

      Awards & Achievements

◆For his excellent business acumen and never-say-die spirit which made Reliance one of the topmost business empires in the country and the world, he was conferred with numerous honors including Dean’s Medal, Lifetime Achievement Award for Corporate Excellence and Man of the Century award. Additionally, he was named ‘Man of 20th Century’ by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
◆Posthumously, he was conferred with the ABLF Global Asian Award at the Asian Business Leadership Forum Awards.

  Death

◆He breathed his last on July 6, 2002, after a major stroke.
