The VALMY File: Epilogue, by @vincentleroy (translated from French)
This is an authorized translation in English of a post in French by Vincent Le Roy (@vincentleroy): LE DOSSIER VALMY (Thriller) : Epilogue
As my primary language is not English, there are probably some mistakes in my translation.
Remember that the person who speaks here is NOT me, Vincent Celier (@vcelier), but Vincent Le Roy (@vincentleroy), a French guy.
EPILOGUE
The battle of VALMY is the famous battle in which the French army led by General Bonaparte confronts the Prussians who came to clean up our famous revolution. It is this famous battle where the balance of power is unequal. Battle that the Prussians are certain to win. And yet, the Prussians will be beaten. Let's be clear, the Prussians have never fought. They have been largely paid and compensated for losing officially. The jewels of the kingdom as a gift and the assurance that the situation will stabilize in France. Everyone knows it's the Freemasons who mediated. This is the first battle in history where the enemy is paid to lose ... The VALMY file is the opposite. The perfect apology of the big against the small.
Tenacity and honesty can do nothing in such a confrontation. And even when you think you have raised your head, it is only to better wipe the next shot. The VALMY folder is just that. An unequal struggle between a young child without a clean background and a rich old man for whom all is permitted, crime, vileness, corruption as long as he gets his way.
In three years, I have spent more than 200,000 Euros on my lawyers, and still, some like my Luxembourg lawyer have never asked anything. At the same time, Alex probably spent more than a million and a half. So, of course, there is no business and no technology. Nobody exploits them today, except perhaps the Germans. Alex either does not exploit them and for a reason we understand that belatedly: one of the renegade chemists died in 2008.
There could be a semblance of morality in my business, telling myself that the war cost my opponent dearly. Not even. By getting his hands on the Canadian company, he has spent all costs in the amount of about 1.5 million, he will recover in his parent company in tax credit. The irony is to value a million and a half technology that is claimed to be non-existent. This point does not shock anyone. Not the judicial system anyway. In short, his war will have cost him nothing.
If we except the few corruption facts I denounce in this book, the most worrying is the inability of public authorities to react to such acts. Lack of means and lack of skills, the criminal justice is absolutely not adapted to the modern delinquency. I still have this sentence of Amiens' lawyer in mind while I asked him about the inertia of the floor:
- Here we manage the garbage fires and the incests.
He is cruelly right. In my case, the only judicial institution that will support us is the Commercial Court.
At a hearing, the President will tell me:
- The problem in your case is the lack of own funds.
And that's exactly it. Not strong enough to resist and above all benefit from fair justice. The industrial adventure is finished for me. Today, I remain a small independent without pretension. Without conflict either. With, I think, possible swords of Damocles over the head, because I cannot believe that Alex does not prepare for me some nasty blows. Just as he did not anticipate this book. One of my lawyers recently told me:
- Only people who have something to blame can be afraid of the light. So yes, write your story.
It's done.
To my children so they never forget ...

Hi @vcelier @vincentleroy, I've been away for quite a long time, but I promised myself that once I get back here on Steemit, I will definitely finish this story. And I did!
Whew! Just when I thought the end's gonna be good, or shall I say at least fair for Mr. Le Roy... But, c'est la vie. I enjoyed reading this though - it's been a roller coaster ride. From the ups and downs and ups and downs and then having to lose Julie his wife, man that's terrible.
But...I haven't moved on from the story yet. I guess this is just life. Sometimes you lose hard; really hard.
Thanks for the great read @vincentleroy. Cheers!
