Gift of Status

I have a friend Diksha. This story is about her. There are few moments in life which #changes our way of thinking and this one changed mine.
So there is a #City named Bikaner in the lap of desert and that is the place where she use to stay. In 2004 Scooty (2 wheeler aka bike) was in #trend. But not everyone could have afford it as Bikaner was not so developed at that time. She was in school and that time one of her friend have got new scooty. She was as usual showing it off and students started gathering around her. Diksha was very curious to ask that how much did it #cost. But dishearteningly she got a reply "honey,you cant afford it because it costs more then your father's status". She felt ashamed in front of everyone who was there. after that everyone went to their respective classes but as she was hurt she made a false excuse that she is not well and went to sickroom. Later as she went home she couldn't forget what happened with her and #tears started falling down her cheeks. After few hours her father came home and saw that she is not in a good mood and is really sad so he reached upto her and asked her that whats the matter. She couldn't control her #emotions so she just hugged him and bursted into tears, told him everything what happened in school today. He tried to #console her and said that this is life is all about. After few months finally its her birthday. As she woke up there was a surprise for her lying on the table just next to her bed. It was a box as she opened it she found keys in it, she got so excited that she ran into the door. than she gathered her# conscious and ran outside, and guess what she founds out a #brand new hero Honda pleasure (scooty aka bike). As She turned around her father was standing behind her noticing each and every reaction of her. She ran to hug him and said thank you. And the life get back to normal.
After 12 years once again it was her birthday and we all(friends) were together and have planed a surprise for her. So we decided to exchange her scooty with a new one(unaware of what it meant to her). So we finally sold her old scooty and got few cash in exchange. Rest of the money was contributed by all of us and we have got a new Activa4G for her. As she came back from her office she found out a new scooty waiting for her. Insted of getting #surprised she was looking tensed and started searching for her old scooty. As she couldn't find it so she asked us that where my old scooty is. We all #laughed and one of us answered that its gone and we have gifted you a new one so stop worrying about the old one. She got angry and ran inside with teary eyes. We all went after her and asked what happened aren't you #happy seeing our gift? She replied "That was not just a scooty it was my fathers status".
