MY STORY - A memorable day during my secondary school.

It was past 7am in the morning when I tried to wake up in the morning but still in a slumber as if I worked night all through. I couldn't stand up until my mother came to sprinkle some water in my face. Only for me to wake up better and consciously to see the wall clock telling me it's 7am. I only thought i was till in my slumber, I tried to adjust and wake my self up very well with a clear vision of reality, and clock still tells me it wasn't a joke that its 7am sharp.

Oh My God! where am I when am supposed to be on my way to school? I asked my self...quickly rush down to the bathroom with immediate effect, squeeze the tooth brush in mouth with some tooth paste and took my bath with quick access mode activated. It's now 7:45 am after wish I git dressed up and prepared for school.

Hmmmn...it was quite frustrating on that day. All for me to go to my mum and collect the usual money for my daily activities for school, guess what she said - go back and do your daily routine house chores, mum please I am late already, I said, having worn my school uniform. I felt so devastated and anxious but when I noticed she didn't even act like someone was feeling unhappy beside her and that wouldn't change anything from what she has said, I had no choice to go back inside and do it even though it was with anger. I grumbled and reluctantly went off and do the chores.

Now, it's 8 on dot...ha and I am still at home! I felt like staying at home because I wouldn't like to face the consequences for being late but I had no choice than to leave the house because I had a biology test on that day. It was quite surprising and very unfortunate that my mother never gave me the exact money I am suppose to collect, Mum why? - You didn't do the chores to my taste, I only pardon you because you are late already. So disgusting! I quickly collected the little token and rushed down to the next bus-stop to take the public bus "Danfo" Ha! Today na today! It took me about 15 minutes at the bust-stop before I could see a bus with space and took off. It's now 8:30am when I alighted from the bus.

On getting to the school gate, there I meet this man called Mr. Ajagbe, the only teacher in school who can give strokes of cane that can make you run from Lagos to Abuja unknowingly. It was epic after which Iv'e received about ten strokes of cane when I thought I would go to class and get ready for the test because it was coming up by 9:15am for the second period.

Suddenly, I heard - hey! come back here, where are you going to? I felt like whats wrong again, thought the strokes of cane was only the penalty for being late. Go into the bush and join your fellow late comers, said Mr Ajagbe. What a sad day for me, what came over me that made me slept so deep. Well, I accepted my fate and joined them to work on the bush.

While working in the bush they I was thinking that may be in a short while they will release us and go to our various classes but they didn't. There I was, checking the time and peeping at the person supervising us until the time for biology test came in. I was so aggressive, confused and devastated. I had no alternative than to beg the head boy supervising us to please release me for the test but he refused.

This moment, nothing came to my mind at that period that how good and joyful would it have been if I can get a supernatural power to disappear from the bush into the class but that was just an imagination that can never come to Reality.

What a terrible day for me, they couldn't release us until when the school time keeper rang the bell for break time. So disgusting! I saddenly walked to the class reluctantly, so tired that my bones couldnt function normaly anymore.

When I got to class my coleges was like - where have you been since, till we finished the biology test? When they see my mode of reaction, non of them could ask me a single question again. BUT There were these two friend of mine, @branx and @teekingtv, who helped me to do the test secretely. As soon as they told me that they have done the test for me, I was so glad, excited and happy, it was like my bones came back to normal, only that sentence gave me pain relief. Oh! this was what made my day a bit happy for me ever it has been grief since morning.

That is one of the reason why you should always mingle with good friends. I really enjoyed the rest of my day even though I didn't have enough money to eat in school.

LESSON

• Don't be distracted by anything at night so that you can wake up very early for school.

• It's advisable you set an alarm very close to you to avoid too deel sleep.

• Do your house chores propperly for good reward from parent.

• Go to school very early to avoid being late. Not even only for school benefit but other places like work or appointment.

• Always find good friends to mingle with. They have much advantage than disadvantages.

I believe you have been able to learn one or two things from one of the realities of my life.
